We chose the Wuksachi to celebrate a family birthday and we were extremely pleased with the facility; after driving by it for more than 20 years, we decided to go see the sequoias and we are sure glad we did. The Wuksachi is about in the middle of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park areas, so it was the... More

It maybe not be everyones cup of tea, but we liked the place. So nice to have friendly staff with a sense of humour. Food was not cheap but nice and normal portions- so good! We ate there every night, no where nearby. It desperatly needs aircon rooms and hotel, hot! Also a pool would be wonderful, freshwater to keep... More

We've tent camped in the back country of Algonquin Park in Ontario and luxuriated at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec and have experienced all kinds of accommodations in between. The Wuksachi Lodge is better than merely decent if a little pricey. It's comfortable and clean and an excellent jumping-off point for touring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It does... Accommodation in Kings Canyon / Sequoia is very limited so there aren't many choices. We looked into this a lot before booking and this is the place to stay. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. The hotel doesn't really have any facilities apart from breakfast and we didn't have this. A word of warning - it is built on... More

I can forgive a lot in a National Park. I know you are paying for proximity and access to the big trees and I can accept that you are closer to "roughing it" but the service was awful, the rooms were hot, the walls were thin, the fans in the bathroom are SOOOOO LOUD! (Esp. when a neighbor leaves it... More

The location was great, but PEOPLE AT THE HOTEL was UNKIND and on top of that, the food at the restaurant was very bad and very expensive.

The rooms were very big and clean, with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The main lodge was very smart with a nice bar. I did not spend much time at this hotel but I would like to go here again. The only two problems were that the rooms are a long way away from the main lodge... More

This is maybe our 5th time staying at the Wuksachi Lodge because we no longer camp and there isn't a motel in the area. With a reservation, check-in was speedy. The main building houses the Lobby, restaurant, gift shop, registration desk, and mtg. rooms downstairs. Rooms are in 3 separate buildings with their own parking lot, in an adjacent forest... More

This place made me furious- because they know you can't stay anywhere else in the park their standards are low. The rooms are old fashioned (which I can just about forgive) and the walls are thin (which I can't). If you arrive in the evening as we did after a full day's driving from Vegas, you have to wait until... More

Okay you can read the previous posting that are negative, so I am going to give you the positives. We have been to Wuksachi Lodge multiple times and I will tell you why: Location. It is here in the middle of a National Park, where you get to stay without having to camp. If you want a "resort experience" then... More
