Location = excellent. Room = ok. Restaurant & wait staff = don't expect much. Unfortunately, the prices for the restaurant are completely misleading. After reading the menu, it's only natural to expect that the food will live up to the pricing. Truthfully, you could have a better meal eating freeze-dried astronaut food packs. And the service. Brings the meaning of... More

Visited as a spur of the moment decision, as a stop off point whilst visiting Sequoia National Park. Pretty basic accommodation, but with everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. The key plus point is the restaurant - nice 'comfort' food and friendly efficient service.

Wuksachi Lodge is highly praised as being great. I disagree, & would not stay there again. The setting is nice, but the property is very poorly managed. The restauant is very expensive, & the food is poor. Try tough tasteless pork. The rooms are nice, but vastly overpriced at $200 per night. The room was large but the details were... More

This hotel is in an amazing location, we drove there in the dark, so couldn't really appreciate it. And what a lovely surpise in the morning, the views were amazing. The rooms are large and clean, I would definitely reccomend it.

This hotel is in a picture perfect setting - peaceful with views of the forest and mountains all around. You can see deer from the restaurant and from hotel bedrooms. The rooms are large but basic and the food in the hotel is rather overpriced for the quality which can be a bit hit and miss depending on what you... More

The lodge buildings are situated on a hillside and have great views. We booked a deluxe room with a large king bed and a separate sitting room. The rooms are very nice and have a television and phone. The restaurant was a short walk down the hill and the food was OK. The room are very clean and of excellent... More

Reserved this hotel 5 months in advance. When we showed up at 5:30pm, the clerk said that the computer reserved us the handicapped room and they had nothing else available even though the parking lot was empty. This was not what I reserved and they refused to change it. (Not what it said on my reservation either) Television had poor... More

My wife and I stayed here May 10-11, 2007 - just before the rates doubled. Spectacular setting. Well-maintained facilities. Spotless room. Suggest a second floor room in the Sequoia Bldg. for best view. Only one restaurant available, which is good, but expensive. Excellent trail leads from the Wuksachi to LodgePole. Saw a bear just off this trail during this beautiful... More

My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel and it was the most wonderful experience we have had in California. For nature lovers the park is a must see and staying one night inside the park in this hotel is an amazing experience. The rooms are very good and the staff is very friendly. Don´t miss the dinner... We recently stayed at the Wuksachi lodge for 2 nights on April 27-28, 2007. We arrived at approximately 7:00 p.m. and were quckly checked in. The drive from the southern entrance was beautiful although a little curvy. We had no problem with the construction zone as we passed through after 5:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon; although I understand there may... More
