My girl friend and I spent a couple of night at Wuksachi Lodge 2nd week of July 2012. Following is our observations: 1) Restaurant price is very high and quality of the food is incredibly poor. Avoid the restaurant. 2) Bar prices are also very high. It is highway robbery. 3) A/C in the room was noisy and inadequate. Room... More

Clean, somewhat rustic rooms with small fridge and daily ranger-lead activities. Individual 2 story buildings separate from the "front desk" and restaurant. The restaurant is ok. expensive for average food. The Wolverton BBQ is a good alternative.

Wuksachi Lodge is stylish and upscale without being intimidatingly snobbish. The rooms are spacious, and the beds supremely comfortable. Just one word of caution: no elevator. Our room was 335, which means it was on the third floor. Our visit was greeted by two deer who simply fed off the bushes. They were so tame they let people come within... More

A smart but sympathetically designed hotel with friendly staff and a good cafe/restaurant. The room was good value by national park standards and most of the best bits of Sequoia Park are within easy reach. We enjoyed the stags browsing in the gardens.

We drove the 6,000 foot mountains and experienced fog, rain, sunshine and SNOW in May...so bring your boots and a warm coat. It was unbelievable - we were wearing shorts and flip flops...our bad.Parking and unloading the Wuksachi Lodge proved more than we could stand. I took our car on the service road and pulled a “007-ish maneuver” to get... More

We stayed at Wuksachi Lodge for two nights in late June. Our room was in the Sequoia Building, which is the first of three lodge buildings across the road from the main lodge. The room was quite comfortable, and I was pleased to discover the the wi-fi worked there. Walking to and from the room, we saw deer, chipmunk, and... More

Although the room was nice, clean, and quite spacious for our family of four, the premium price you are paying is for the ability to stay in Sequoia Park. "Wuksachi Village" is a misnomer - the only thing there is the lodge building with the front desk, gift shop, and expensive restaurant, and if you want to eat dinner there... More

While the setting is lovely (complete with mule deer foraging at dusk) parking in the rear of the hotel and pushing your luggage to a lodge without elevators or AC on a near 90 degree day is no welcome. Rooms are large and well appointed except for lighting. In window fans manage well through the night, but stay gone during... More

Stayed at the Wuksachi Lodge for an evening the first week of June. It is located in the heart of Sequoia National Park and is an excellent location to visit all areas of the Kings Canyon / Sequoia Parks. Rooms were ok and clean, but nothing special. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor backside of one of the 3... More

Key good points: Comfortable, clean rooms in a beautiful setting. Close to the Giant Grove and other attractions. Main lodge has most of what you want close by, and the visitor's center is not far if you need something else. Key flaws: It is not easy getting to your room. The building is set up so that the door is... More
