I spent a lot of time debating whether or not to spend a night here in January 2010. We were on a 3 state road trip and in the midst of a week's stay near Yosemite. I worried whether we would get to the lodge (no snow tires), whether the price would be worth the stay, etc. As it turns... More

The lodge was right in the middle of Sequoia national park. The room was basic, but functional, bit dusty in places though. The main lodge offered nice food in big portions, and suprisingly good value. Look out for the big bear in the seating area of the lodge. The packed lunch was very tasty and huge. To be honest as... Firstly, may I say from my point of view if you have to choose between Yosemite and Sequoia I'd choose Sequoia every time. This hotel is in its own grounds overlooked by the Sierra Nevada mountains and beautiful scenery and the peace is second to none. This park is not so well known does not have the crowds and the... In the heart of the Park, quiet, clean, perfect position. Accomodation a fair walk from car park with heavy cases, and paths far too dark at night. Food and service good, would happily stay again.

Rooms are comfortable and modern. There is tv in the room which neither the John Muir lodge nor the the King canyon lodge have. I think I know what the architects had in mind with this design. The parking is below and far from the rooms. This gives every room a view of forest and nature from their room. The... More

We stayed for three nights in September and although we arrived in the morning, they were happy for us to check into the room. The room was comfortable and I had already read that a flashlight would be useful at night when walking to and from the lodge. You must take a flashlight! Wi-fi is available in the main lodge.... We stayed at the Wuksachi with our 3 boys in August of 2010. The hotel was nice- not the best but clean and safe. The location can't be beat- it is right in the heart of Sequoia National Park. The room was average in terms of size. It was clean. We did have an issue with the housekeeper not replenishing... More

Since the nearest city is almost 2 hours away and we planned to be in Sequoia/King's Canyon NPs, we needed somewhere to stay on the park. We thought about the Grant Grove cabins, but some TripAdvisor reviews said they were falling apart. Unfortunately, we didn't think about food. Our room at Wuksachi was fine, though to be fair it was... More

Stayed two nights after long drive.. Wildlife was all around. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very disappointed to find there was no electricity when we arrived. Unfortunately there was still no electricity by the time we left! The lodge is situated in a beautiful and quiet location surrounded by trees The rooms were comfortable but difficult to... More
