The Wuksachi lodge is a perfect stopping point right in the middle of Sequoia and KC. We toured the southern part of Sequoia on one day, stayed at Wuksachi and then did KC then next day. The lodge itself was quite nice and much more modern than I expected. The room was very clean and the beds quite comfortable. Most... More

The hotel is located at 2000 meters (7000ft) and you will probably be out of breath sometimes. At this height the outside temperature is quite low in the summer, a comfortable 60F when Fresno was close to 100F. The beauty that surrounds the hotel is simply stunning! One day when we came out of the main building, the deers were... More

Four of us stayed in Wuksachi in mid July (7/16/08) -- and while one of the previous reviewers suffered through an unusual warm spell -- we had fabulous weather. Is it pricey for what you get. Yes -- but then again -- unless you are planning on sleeping under the stars -- you have no other options. Anyone who has... More

I went in July and they don't tell you but they have No Air Conditioning in the rooms/restaurant. However they still charge over $200 a night to stay there. Management stated that since they installed ceiling fans they have not heard to many more complaints from guest anymore. It was about 80-90 degrees during the day in the rooms &... More

We are old timers when it comes to visiting Sequoia. As younger adults we backpacked out of Crescent Meadow many times, usually to the Bearpaw/Hamilton Lake area but once across the Sierras to scale Mt. Whitney and leave the park at Whitney Portal. Hence, my comment about sleeping on rocks. But, enough about that. We generally visit Sequoia once or... More

We booked a suite at Wuksachi Lodge at Sequoia for 2 nights. The location is perfect (close to the Giant Forest) and the suite was OK for 2 adults and 2 kids (our oldest son used the pull out in the connected room). The rooms are all new and they have done a good job of integrating the lodge and... More

You don't have much choice if you want to stay in the park, and it's great to stay in the park, so reviews are probably of minimal help except to give fair warning of any potential problems. We stayed in all the different areas of the parks - Cedar Grove, Grant Grove and Wuksachi - because we wanted to hike... More

Part of the reason we probably loved Wuksachi Lodge was because we fell in love with the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. That aside - we loved everything about the lodge. The staff was friendly, interesting, funny, and helpful. The shop had useful items, super cute jewelry, and take-away gifts. Our room wasn't fancy but had everything we needed... More

The Lodge is the only game in town and therefore priced as such (paid $236 for a deluxe king room). Check-in is 4:00 and check-out at 11:00. Not a lot of time to enjoy your room. That said, the location is breathtaking and very conveniently located. Our room was large with a king size bed, couch, desk, mini-fridge and a... More

I reluctantly paid what was to me a huge amount to stay at the Wuksachi Lodge for 4 nights. In the end I was very satisfied with my stay and feel it was worth it. The location of the lodge is great, the rooms are updated, look new and the amenities were good. The dining room was okay: location and... More
