My wife and I have fond memories of the past when we hiked and camped in Sequoia National Park. Now, 30 years later, we have the means to stay in a more up-scale resort and the Wuksachi Lodge looked like a great way to enjoy the park in comfort. Boy were we wrong! It all started with guest registration. At... More

We took a road trip from Newport Beach and drove up to see the big trees. Stopping on the way at three rivers first we stayed at the simple Holiday Inn in Three Rivers $89.00. Great air conditioning and it was used. It was hot. Nice free breakfast also. We white water rafted on the Keawah and had a great... More

We had booked two rooms at Wuksachi Lodge a year in advance so we expected no problems when we checked in. One of the rooms was just fine, but the second room although non-smoking reeked of smoke and the toilet didn't flush. We called housekeeping and they promised to come by and deal with the issue. We we returned to... More

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this hotel. Our family had a great time in the park and staying at the Wuksachi Lodge over the Memorial Day weekend. When we arrived at the hotel, the clerk cheerfully greeted us and proceeded to our check-in. It appeared she was a fairly new employee, but she carefully... More

We stayed for two nights in mid May. This seemed to be the nicest hotel in the park and after a long day of hiking I wanted to stay someplace nice. The room had a great view of the sierra's and was clean and spacious. Its not a four or five star hotel but it was more than I was... More

I read a lot of negative reviews on this lodge hence I was a bit hesitant at first to book this place.. I took a risk and booked my 2 night weekend getaway anyway and I need to say, I was very happy with the choice I had made.. It is the first lodge in the national park and it... More

Wonderful hotel with great views and very affordable for a National Park. Our only complaint is the restaurant. This is the only place to buy a meal during the winter. We have been to the lodge for the past three years and cringe when it is time to go to dinner. We have waited 20 minutes for a menu and... More

i read so many negative reviews on TripAdvisor that I was prepared for the worst, but my experience was any thing but! All the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant were great, the room was clean and spacious (I was upgraded to a deluxe at no charge) and the food was NOT that expesive. The Wuksachi breakfast was... More

the main building where the front desk and restaurant are, is very charming. the nature around is spectacular. the rooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. our dining experience however was very unpleasant caused by the unfriendliness, and unattentiveness of any wait staff we encountered at dinner as well as breakfast.

Stayed recently at the lodge - it is a great place with fireplaces and good food for the price. However, our room was infested with mice - they were living in the sofa. We tried to get our room changed but no one was at the front desk as it was after midnight. Didn't get a wink of sleep our... More
