Our trip to the Sequoias was limited since they had just received 3 feet of snow (first of the season and in April). All winter play was closed. The lodge though was beautiful. Located off of Generals Hwy. it was the perfect place to explore the park. The lodge was busy but the service was excellent. From the front counter... More

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is centrally located to some of the main attractions in the park like General Sherman Tree, Sentinel Tree, Giant Forest Museum, Lodgepole Market/Visitor Center, Moro Rock, etc. The lodge is divided into 4 separate buildings : Registration/Lobby with the Restaurant, and 3 buildings for lodging. So the downside is the... More

After what felt like a long drive through snow and fog it was a huge reward to reach Wuksachi lodge. It is a very welcoming place. The great thing about visiting in winter is that there's few other visitors, which makes a visit feel all the more special. The hotel is in an incredibly quiet and beautiful location and matches... My wife and I finally got around to visiting the park this month, after four decades of living in California. We came into the park via Highways 41 and 198, which is a tortuous route with many switchbacks, but at the same time very scenic. Those wishing to take an easier direct route should travel on Highway 180 from Fresno.... More

From San Francisco to Hollywood, how could you not stop to see the Sequoia's ? Glad we slept here, , ideal half way point in the National Parks. Friendly, clean and great value, good little food mart and bar too .

We arrived late at night and felt like we were in the middle of the forest. The Wuksachi lodge is the closest place to stay near the most popular Sequoia trees. The rooms are located in 3 different buildings, we stayed in Silliman building, room 211. A short walk to the reception building. The king size bed in the room... More

This is THE place to stay in Sequoia NP. It's close to all the main attractions (General Sherman) and hikes. The actual lodge itself is quite dated, but clean and comfortable. I would say it was a bit overpriced (we ended up paying $127/night in the winter, off-peak). However, we ended up getting a free room upgrade, and free dinner... More

We had a prepaid reservation at this lodge and drove through extremely ice laden roads to arrive there. It was a beautiful setting but the snow was still coming down. We discussed our situation and fear of the weather with the reception desk. They even went on-line and pulled up the latest radar for us. With fear of not getting... More

Warm, spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Probably could do with updating soon. Very quiet so sleep was good and the stars were amazing. It was a short walk to the reception building which had a lounge, a sop, a bar and a restaurant. This was the only place to eat at this time of year without driving for miles... More

We spent a weekend here in January. Thank you to all the previous reviewers who advised of the distance from the lodge/restaurant to the rooms, the general condition of the rooms, the lack of elevators, and eating options. All of this helped us manage our expectations. We booked our reservations online at the Lodge's website. Given all the comments about... More
