Best trip ever. Opportunities for wildlife viewings. Lots of small trails behind lodge to go on a stroll. Easy bus service. Bus does stop at six. Market at Lodgepole has reasonable prices for breakfast and lunch.

I was slightly apprehensive on staying here, due to the underwhelming reviews on tripadvisor. However I was more than pleasantly suprised during our stay here. I think that people forget that they are paying for location! This is the only place to stay in the Giant Forest, besides pitching a tent. This already puts you at an extreme advantage, as... More

We stayed at Wuksachi for two nights and really enjoyed the great location surrounded by forest in the Sequoia National park. Dinner service in the restaurant was good, but breakfast service not so good, noisy room next to the ice machine was also a minus but overall a very pleasant stay.

We only stayed here for one night, arriving after a long, hot drive from Mammoth Lakes, via Fresno, but were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff. They advised that if we wanted to eat in the restaurant, we should book right away, as it gets very busy in the evening. There was nowhere else to eat in the area,... More

There's both light and shade in this review. On the downside the Wuksachi Lodge springs some surprises to the unsuspecting guest such as: - The set-up is like a motel with a central community building and separate outbuildings with rooms. - The rooms are definitely more 'barracks' than 'Beverly Willshire'. - You are in an active bear area and so... The Lodge is in a great location in Sequoia National Park and has a beautiful main lodge with a lovely waiting area and beautiful dining room. The food at the restaurant was very good and service was pretty good too. The employees were friendly and welcoming. They had some programs that you could join for free such as stargazing. The... If you are visiting the park and want a great place to stay thats pleasant, clean and miles from anything - this is the place! Other reviewers are correct, the hotel itself is average, but you are literally on the edge of the wilderness. This is also the nicest restaurant in the park and the view can't be beat. Our... More

everything about this lodge is relaxing and enjoyable. The lodge is comfortable and cosy. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the peaceful and tranquil setting. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The only drawback was the dining. Although the food was delicious, the seating and kitchen were inefficient. I would recommend staying here when visiting Sequoia.

Everyone we encountered was very nice and we had a great experience. The lobby area had obviously been updated, and was very pretty. Our room was in one of the buildings away from the lodge, but that worked out just fine for us. The room itself was nice, but not overdone. They do not have air conditioning, but had an... More

The favorite part of our trip was the tour in Giant Forest, and our guide was Paul. He was the best! We plan to come back next year for his tour to Kings Canyon. We liked the continental breakfast, and had a nice lunch at the Peaks, burgers and fried. Also went to the Wolverton BBQ for the ribs and... More
