Stayed here for one night during the closing weekend. Nice camping spots (travelling with tent). There is a lot of wildlife around (tent was shaking couple of time) and elk were wandering nearby during breakfast. Simply fantastic. Small shop offers ice(cream) and firewood. Only cash.

I camped at site 126. It offers amazing views of the mountains, especially the alpenglow at sunrise. WOW! However, this site also overlooks the Group Sites. They were full when I was there, and therefore quite loud with a lot of foot traffic back/forth past my site. This campground does offer wooded sites but I was in a completely unprotected... More

Stayed for a couple nights in the c loop. Bathrooms are nice. Nice views of the mountains. Only drawback is the lack of trees due to the beetle problem. Other then that I would have prob given it 5 stars but there nothing the campground can do about that.

We have been coming to this campground for nearly 20 years. Due to beetle kill trees this campground no longer has the massive pine trees that were ever present in the 90s, but it still is a great campground with clean bathrooms. The camp host was extremely picky about how we parked, but still a great time. The main concern... More

Awesome camp ground surrounded by beautiful mountains. More quiet than Moraine campground. The bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained (something very important to me when camping). Also, there are some hikes that leave right from the area, be sure to talk to the ranger for more details!

We had a family gathering here at a group tent site. The area had lost all of its trees and it was mostly bare ground. We brought a shade tent and that came in handy in the afternoon. We were also happy that we had brought air mattresses because the group tent sites do not have tent pads and the... More

Camped here for 6 nights in a 24' travel trailer in July. Campground was full but quiet at night as everyone seemed to be tired from their day adventures. No hookups, but there is a dump station and certain loops will allow generator use. Loops C & D have no trees but good views of the mountains. A & B... More

We stayed here for 1 night. The campground was great; nothing to complain about! And it's in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, so it was just a gorgeous view. Only thing of note- make sure you have somewhere (your car for example) to put all of your food/ smelly things (deodorant, toothpaste, etc). A bear had been photographed in... More

We camped here in a 31 ft trailer, for 4 nights, over the July 4th weekend. The campground was full, but the sites are spacious enough that it didn't feel crowded. In fact Sunday when most people left it felt almost desolate. However, some of the RV sites are a little tight to get into. Our site did have trees,... More

Loved our stay at Glacier Basin! My husband and I camped in a tent on loop D- one of the loops no longer with pines. I was sad that the pines were cut down due to the beetle, but the views now were sweeping and beautiful! Not only that, but the campground is now full of wildflowers instead! We had... More
