Manager is generally unfriendly plus unaccomodating. We reserved and paid for two sites. Manager wanted to charge us an extra-vehicle fee for parking a family member's vehicle in front of our bumper-pull trailer which was parked in one (paid) site, when actual tow vehicle was parked and paid for in another (paid) site. Ditto that constant driving around the campground... more

This campground was decent until you see your bill. It cost us an extreme amount of money to stay at a sub-par campground. The sites were average and the bathrooms were fine. The part that turned us away from ever staying here was that they charged us $50 extra for our camp fire not being put out. However, we put... more

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this campground. We agree with others that the sites at this campground are very close together and there was very little room for our tent and our traveling partners' camper on the site we were given. We had been told when booking the trip that there would be plenty of room... more

We've stayed at this campground several times over the last 18 years. Unfortunately the folks who have owned it for the last 8 years have let it run down, and they are definitely NOT into customer service. 1. Though we had reserved early, we were giving a tenting site with little privacy and no level areas for our tent. It... more

My husband and I camped at Estes Park Campground over July 4th weekend. We had some other plans fall through, so we didn't book until late May ... we were glad they could fit us in. We were very happy with our campsite (tent camping). Our site seemed to be roomier than some of the others, which was nice. The... more

The campsites are right on top of each other. No real privacy to sit back and enjoy. We looked down upon other campers. It was very dusty, more than usual. The noise of the bathroom doors woke us up at 5:00AM daily. The bathroom stall doors are warped. So no privacy there either! We left our cooler with mostly drinks... more

My girlfriend and I had planned on staying at Estes Park Campground two nights but only stayed for one. Campsites were packed together and offered little privacy. Several campers had dogs, which barked during the night. . We decided to leave before our final night due to lack of privacy and excessive noise. The fire ring at our campsite was... more

We spent two nights at this campground at the end of May. We picked this location because it had more room between RV sites than other we had researched and it had water and electrical hookups. It was quiet and the scenery is spectacular. The weather was ideal, but I can see how it would get messy if it were... more

I found the management to be friendly and polite, but my husband and I really disliked this campground. Most of the sites are crammed together on a downward slope, making you feel right on top of the other campers. It rained while we were there, and this slope made the wetness level (i.e. water running through the camp sites) worse,... more

Our family has been tent camping all over the United States for about 10 years (well, one of us has been doing it for more than 30!) This weekend, we had the No. 1 worst experience camping at Estes Park Campground. It started with the owner giving away our reservation, and putting us in an undesirable, sloped spot that was... more
