Reserve early! If you want a site with an ocean view in the summer then you will need to be on the website exactly 6 months out. As usual in a national park campground there are decent bathrooms, but no showers. Most sites had decent privacy from neighbors. Firewood was available from a truck/trailer that drove the loops in the... More

We did the whole Olympic National Park tour and this place is incredible. The parking lot is not too far from the road and then you can go for a walk in the woods, go on the beach and the view is just amazing, crazy!! Worth the stop. Unfortunately, it was winter so we didn't camp there.. Would definitely come... More

This was a wonderful place to camp with easy beach access. The site we reserved (reservations are a must) was really private even thought he campground was totally full. We took our dog along and found the area to be very pet friendly. The area was really gorgeous, you won't be disappointed.

If you want to camp by the beach, come here and enjoy. Make sure you have a reservation and reserve in advance. Without one, you are most likely not going to get a spot. Our campsite we were on was very spacious and had lots of spots for the kids to play and explore. There are no showers unless you... More

Great campground and we had a wonderful time. Some sites are large and not private while others are smaller and are heavily treed providing nice privacy. We went during the high season of summer and although the campground was full we didn't feel it was too busy and it was a great experience. Make sure to book online in the... More

The campsites are very pretty but some are too close for privacy. All sites are walking distance to the beach and a few special ones have amazing beach views. We went before the peak season and even in the cold rain had a wonderful time. We drove down a couple beaches for a tide walk tour in the morning and... More

In terms of camping sites, Kalaloch is a mixed bag. Some sites are large and private, others are small and exposed. Some are very close to the 101, so note that when you're reserving (online maps and pictures are handy). Highly advised that you make reservations in advance in the summer -- the campground tends to fill up. Bathrooms aren't... More

Beautiful campground, thick trees give lots of privacy at most sites. Can see the ocean from your camping site or very short walk to view. Easy access to nice beach. Great place to relax, very quiet. Short walk to Kalaloch Lodge for tourist stuff, groceries, restaurant. No electricity or showers only negatives. Gorgeous enough to say "We will be back!"

Just came back from camping with a group of 10 friends. We had the best time. I came here a lot when I was a kid, but forgot how fun it was. Even though the campsite was full, we felt like we had our own private area, as the surrounding sites were spaced far enough. The sounds of the ocean... More

We just returned from a spur of the moment stay at the Kalaloch campground. We've stayed at the Kalaloch cabins many times, but always wanted to try the campground. The weather cooperated and our day on the beach was sunny and warm. All the campground loops appeared to be open with D-F seeming to be more full. We have a... More
