Believe this is the nicest place to stay if you can stay in only one place in Olympic Park. We stayed in the Pyramid lodge. Although the rooms have not been updated as they have been in Lake Quinault, they are more than adequate. The dining room has wonderful food. The kayaking on premises is simply gorgeous. Also, there are... More

The Lodge and surroundings are like going back in time with modern conveniences. There was a delightful fire in the big stone hearth, wonderful dinner and service. We stayed in the Storm King Rooms and our patio doors opened to a view of the lake. That morning a big deer with stately antlers and two babies was right outside feeding.... More

Lake Crescent is an absolutely beautiful place, and is a convenient location for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. The lodge is simple and charming. We stayed for 2 nights in a Singer cabin and had a wonderful time. The staff were courteous, the cabin was clean, and the food in the lodge was good. The prices are a little high, but... More

Unbelievable views, tranquil setting, kayak rentals, and a historic lodge that President Roosevelt stayed in 1937 before creating the National Park System. It was our Familys favorite stay during our 2 week trip. Anke at the front desk is wonderful.

We made a reservation months in advance for a Roosevelt Cottage room on the very end. The cottage is on the lake and the views were spectacular. We wanted fresh air, beautiful scenery, a simple mountain cabin with a huge fireplace, and to hear the sounds of nature such as crickets chirping, fish jumping the lake, birds chirping and cawing.... I am very conflicted about Lake Crescent Lodge. On one hand, the location is outstanding! We were there for two nights while we wanted to do some hiking and exploring in the Olympics and this hotel's location was great. Easy to visit the Hoh Rainforest and easier to visit Hurricane Ridge. You are in a nice mountain valley right on... More

Second stop on a 24 day,13 hotel, Pacific Coast Hwy, Nat'l Park Journey. We stayed 3 nights. Rained everyday. If you wish to stay within Olympic Nat'l Park, your options are limited. We chose Lake Crescent due to its central location to the parks sites we wished to visit. The idea of staying on a lake in Nat'l Park lodging... More

Crescent Lake is exquisite and the hotel cherishes it. Don't expect a gorgeous room but they are adequate (we were happy in Pyramid). But savor the gorgeous lake, superb hiking (Storm King is a work out but worth it) and most of all the absence of electronic intrusions, designer clothing and the stress that goes with all that. People are... More

We wanted to take the 3 dogs somewhere to escape the days of terror surrounding the 4th, so a year ago we booked one of the Roosevelt Cottages (because the Lodge is inside Olympic Natl Park, fireworks are forbidden). They have recently been updated & had 2 very comfortable beds, 2 great reading chairs, a large wood-burning fireplace, & a... More

Well...in a nutshell that's about right. You must expect it to rain alot. The food is limited and the chef pumps tomato puree over the seafood. Apart from that it's a great location.
