super cool lodge in an awesome location! This is the perfect place to get away to the mountains with real soul. It has tons of character and charm. You can tell by the fact that everyone who visits returns again and again anf treats it like home. Ski down to your room. The Snorting Elk Cellar is the coolest place... More

I believe the problem may be that there really isn't too much competition regarding lodging right at the base of Crystal. This means there isn't too much motivation for upkeep and/or updating the rooms. I understand ski gear, ski boots, etc. are a lot of wear and tear on a room. Because of this, I didn't expect luxury. There is... More

Found the rooms to be 10'x10' including the bath. Beds were hard as a rock. Bunks were the highlight for the kids. The entire lodge looks like it hasn't been touched since 1960. Paid 150/night and will never do it again. Crystal Mountain Hotels really missed the ball not investing better into this lodge out of the three. Good things... More

You can't beat the location of the Alpine Inn - right at the base of the ski slope- we literally had people skiing by our hotel window. Other than that, I would advise looking elsewhere. The Alpine Inn is waaaaay overpriced for what you get. We had a queen corner room on the first floor. We could hear every sound... More

I have never stayed at a overprice Hotel, unless it was a Motel posing as a Hotel. This is the case here. The beds are old and uncomfortable and the furniture looked like they took it from the front lawn of a college frat house. The walls are paper thin! Be sure and drink yourself silly at the Jaw or... The people that run the place are very nice. The accomodations were cramped...really, really cramped. We had a Quicksilver Deluxe Loft room for $240/night. Internet settings are not set right so connection was slow and not reliable. The small bathroom sink is built into a counter in the tiny room. On the same counter is a TV. Under the counter... More

We paid $240 plus tax to stay in a queen deluxe room with a loft. Calling this place rustic would be a compliment. It was unbelievably cramped. The steep shaky ladder (stairs) to the tiny loft had a beam at the top that anyone 5'2" tall or over could easily smack into. NO bathroom sink....a tiny sink is under the... More

The hotel we stayed at was the Quicksilver (there are 3 in this complex) We stayed in a deluxe Queen and it was on par with a 2 star property - i.e. a Super 8 - but you are not going to this spot for the hotel, you are going for the surrounding areas, either skiing or hiking - but... More

We had a very unfortunate and expensive experience with this hotel. We tried to book reservations on-line in November for several days over New Years leaving a credit card number. We never received any sort of confirmation so believed they were full and reservation did not go through. They called on December 29 asking if we were still intending to... More

Main problem is the lack of service. Perhaps to be expected at a ski location - the "staff" is there to ski apparently and not much else. That plus the fact that the hotel has a captive audience - the nearest competition is 7+ miles away. Here's our story: I skied one day with my son and we decided to... More
