The room was clean, which is the most important thing for me. Outdated, which wasn't too big of a deal since it was clean, however I think $112 a night is a bit steep considering this. The restaurant is overpriced and less than impressive-go into town. That being said, the view from the rooms was great and the convenience of... More

There are several options when you want to stay in the park at Mammoth Cave. We stayed at the Sunset Terrace. The main hotel is located in the visitor center. They also have cabins that allow smoking. Everything is centrally located to tours and hikes. You cannot beat this location. The room smells a little musty, but is otherwise clean.... More

the hotel is ok, since it is in the national park, it's very convenient, but there are no cell phone signal in the park, so the only way to connect to the other world is the free WiFi in the lobby. the room is ok. it's very good for morning and evening if you want to enjoy a quite night... More

Wow....very shocked at the condition of the hotel (I was in the sunset lodge...maybe regular hotel was better...stay clear of room 302). This is a national park and while I expected this hotel lodge to be quite old, I did not expect to find nasty carpeting, stained sheets and towels, hair in the tub, and mildew around the tub's grout.... After reading some reviews, I was worried, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished, BIG, with a nice tv and VERY comfortable beds!! We loved it and would definitely stay here again when touring the cave!!!

We arrived at Mammoth Cave late in the afternoon, so decided to stay in the hotel and do the tour in the morning. We stayed in the separate section, with 2 queen beds. The room and hotel is very dated but was clean and fairly comfortable. Its a little overpriced, but for the convenience of being right in the park... More

We had a room in the out building. It was clean and comfortable. However, the building is showing it's age. We had two double beds which were comfortable. The carpeting was worn and stained. The bathroom had original fixtures and no place for personal items usually needed in the bathroom.

We had planned to stay for 2 nights since this hotel is located right in the Mammoth Cave National Park, but we only stayed for one night. The room was a good size, but it was very outdated and not as clean as we are used to. The beds were double sized, not queen sized and were not very comfortable.... More

Looks like old military barracks and it's run down. While I have never stayed on site at a national park, this was not a great introduction. It's overpriced and run down. It's about what you would expect.

We happened to stop at the park on our summer road trip for the caves but the tours were done for the day. We talked about staying down the road and taking the tour in the morning. We didnt know the park had a hotel. Someone mentioned the hotel to us so we checked it out. They only had 2... More
