The cottages are very bare, only essentials, but are very well-kept and clean. Expect no air conditioning or heat, basic bedding and good housekeeping. The location is fantastic, right across from visitor center. Also nice to be inside the park to partake in great hiking as you wish.

These cabins we as advertised. Very rustic, well located and broom clean. We stayed here with our two daughter, five grandkids, and one son-in-law. We had the four bedroom cabin, we had plenty of room. We did find the place lacked cooking and eating options. We were able to cook outside on picnic table grill in the near by picnic... More

We stayed one night in a cottage with one Queen bed while exploring Mammoth Caves National Park. The cottages are simple, no frills accommodations-but what more do you need if you plan to tromp through the woods and crawl through caves for a day? No television, wifi, phone, air conditioning, or heaters. This basic room had a mini fridge, and... More

I booked a cottage because I needed affordable lodging for 4 adults and 2 kids. The booking site did not provide very much info. I knew what to expect by reading others' reviews on this site. The cabins are great if you are going to be busy doing things during the day. There is no a/c, but while we were... More

Cottages are rustic, but nice. We rented the two bedroom cottage which had two rooms with a double bed in each and a simple bathroom with shower. There is no air conditioning, but enough windows with screens for a cross breeze. Ours was clean and beds were comfortable. Location near the visitor center and cave entrance was a plus.

If you are used to roughing it a bit, these cottages are a good choice: convenient to Mammoth Cave, adjacent to hiking trails, reasonably priced. Four of us stayed in a two-room cabin for two nights during a bout of hot weather. While they have no AC, the ceiling fans and evening breezes through the screen windows are fine. We... More

We were lucky to get a last-minute cottage at Mammoth Cave. The cottage is very basic, refrigerator, but no TV or microwave. There is a small porch on which two sets, not furnished but usable with a bit of effort. The cottages are rather rustic yet romantic, we enjoyed them a lot. Neighbors of course are close by. Our next-door... More

A wonderful little get away while visiting the parks. The cottage was nice, clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had our son along with us and he was able to have his own space in the second room of the cabin. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

These are very old cottages. We had the four bedroom unit. If you do not like mice, look for another place to stay. If you have food, make sure it is secure. But, you walk to the cave tours and are right on the National Park.

The cottages were just what we needed. When the weather looked rough for our car-camping trip to Mammoth Cave, we were lucky enough with availability to upgrade to the Woodland Cottages. The cottages have bedding, towels, basic toiletries, mini-fridges, and coffee for the morning. Cooking and grilling is prohibited, but is available at the picnic area 100yds behind the cottage....
