Cottages are rustic, but nice. We rented the two bedroom cottage which had two rooms with a double bed in each and a simple bathroom with shower. There is no air conditioning, but enough windows with screens for a cross breeze. Ours was clean and beds were comfortable. Location near the visitor center and cave entrance was a plus.

If you are used to roughing it a bit, these cottages are a good choice: convenient to Mammoth Cave, adjacent to hiking trails, reasonably priced. Four of us stayed in a two-room cabin for two nights during a bout of hot weather. While they have no AC, the ceiling fans and evening breezes through the screen windows are fine. We... More

We were lucky to get a last-minute cottage at Mammoth Cave. The cottage is very basic, refrigerator, but no TV or microwave. There is a small porch on which two sets, not furnished but usable with a bit of effort. The cottages are rather rustic yet romantic, we enjoyed them a lot. Neighbors of course are close by. Our next-door... More

A wonderful little get away while visiting the parks. The cottage was nice, clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had our son along with us and he was able to have his own space in the second room of the cabin. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

These are very old cottages. We had the four bedroom unit. If you do not like mice, look for another place to stay. If you have food, make sure it is secure. But, you walk to the cave tours and are right on the National Park.

The cottages were just what we needed. When the weather looked rough for our car-camping trip to Mammoth Cave, we were lucky enough with availability to upgrade to the Woodland Cottages. The cottages have bedding, towels, basic toiletries, mini-fridges, and coffee for the morning. Cooking and grilling is prohibited, but is available at the picnic area 100yds behind the cottage.... The Woodland cabins are sparsely appointed, but very clean and you do not go to Mammoth Cave to sit in a room. The 2 Bedroom arrangements with a shower and bath between the rooms was excellent as my Wife ans I took our 12 year old Grandson on a tour of the Cave. No AC so Plan Ahead and bring... More

The cabin had two bedrooms with a commode room and a shower in-between. No air conditioning, but large screened windows and ceiling fans coupled with placement in the woods meant it was not even missed. Comfortable beds, a porch to sit on, electrical outlets in each bedroom, the woods and trails, the caves. Excellent!

Went mid week for visit to Mammoth Caves. Very clean and comfortable, although the beds were not the best qualify. Very simple cottage with small refrigerator and coffee maker. Other than a few restaurants at the visitor center there are no other places to eat except at Cave City about 8-10 miles away. The cottages are close to nice well-groomed... More

The water is not warm enough to have shower. The whole room is really cold. Also there are a lot of bugs. I will not recommend to leave there. The bed are really bad two. Small and shaking. There are a lot of other hotels not far away, I will choose those hotels next time.
