My son and I recently spent 2 nights in the Manzanita Lake camping cabins. It was very basic, but it satisfied our needs. It was very clean, reasonably priced, and had a small store, flush toilets (near the store), and showers. The bed was quite firm and took a bit of getting used to, although they do warn you about... We had only 24 hours in Lassen Volcanic National Park, and stayed in these cabins so that we would not have to drive to the closest town. We really liked these cabins. We needed the heater and it worked very well. The campground smelled of campfire, and was a really nice experience. We walked to the nearby amphitheatre for a... More

These cabins are without electricity, faulty heaters and close together. The camp store is fully equipped for almost everything you need but EXPENSIVE ! IF one had a RV I suggest using it rather than staying at these cabins.

I really loved the look of these cabins and just wrapped up a two-night stay in the smallest unit. It was perfectly clean and the use of the lantern was a nice compliment to the room. I did miss the heater, as the one in my unit was broken and the mercury switch could not be repaired while I was... More

Spent two nights. We had 2 cabins for our group. The cabin heaters kept it nice and warm at night. It was quiet even though all 18 cabins seemed occupied. The bear lockers were roomy. It was a great place to stay while exploring the park. The store and showers were only a short walk away.

We just spent 6 nights at the Manzanita Lake Camping Cabins. I would say they were pretty much perfect in every way except the beds were really really firm. To me they were like sleeping on a rock. Now I know they warn us on their website of the "firmness" of the beds but I didn't take them seriously. Really,... More

I stayed in cabin #11 and would have preferred to stay in #14 (for more privacy). Both are 2 room cabins but very compact spaces. It was only the two of us but we liked having the extra rooms in back to spread our things out. I reserved the campers package and paid the extra $100 because I didn't want... More

We stayed 2 nights in cabin 15. Three adults. One of us had to sleep on the floor. But it was fabulous. We were really pleased with everything. Deer walked right near our cabin. There are 3 windows with screens, curtains and blinds. A battery powered lantern and a heater if you were cold. Double locks on the door. A... More

We stayed for a night 10\11 of august. We were lucky to get the cabins ( we booked a month in advance ). We were 4 adults and 1 kid. We selected the $84 room which has 1 queen bed, over that a bunk single bed, and another 2 single bunk beds. The rooms come with a firm mattress, a... More

We had a cabin comprised of a bunk room and a sitting room with a futon and little table. There was a cute front porch too. The cabins were new-ish and clean and in good order. The cabins are set back from the lake, but you do get views of the lake through the trees. Each cabin has a bear... More
