I grew up in Alaska, but have not been back for many, many years. We were looking for a place to stay that would give us that wilderness experience without having to really rough it. Our stay at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge certainly exceeded our wishes! I loved being in the middle of nowhere, with such amazing surroundings, but still... More

We absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could have had another day or two. My husband and I traveled with our two daughters, 13 and 11 as well as another family whose children were 11 and 8. This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Alaska and couldn't have been better. The boat trip from Seward was... More

We're so happy you had the opportunity to share this special place with your children. Most of the activities at the Lodge are suitable for youth travelers ages 12 and up, though we often host kids 7 and up - especially when they have some outdoor experience and/or are seasoned travelers. Our only requirement for families is a spirit of... More

Besides the lodge and cabins being very clean and well designed and furnished the view from the back door is a lake with a glacier in the background. No kidding seriously beautiful. The food is great except for their cold cuts. I think they could do better, They are salt and fat colored to look like really like food. Stick... More

Stayed here 2 glorious nights of the 6 in our Coast to Denali tour guided by Alaska Wildland Adventures. The entire trip was delightful, but this particular spot was unbeatable. True wilderness, with a 4 star feel. The room was comfortable, views spectacular, activities varied and life changing, guides brilliant, and food fresh and well prepared. When we return to... More

I had just turned 18 when I went. I saved up a lump sum to take myself to Alaska and to be immersed in its untouched beauty. I will never forget this trip because they truly showed you as much as they could of the Kenai Fjords. Our ferry had orca looking porpoises lead us and seals follow. The staff... More

We're so happy you chose us for your adventure! We also applaud your spirit of adventure - most 18 year olds wouldn't be able to pull off an Alaska journey on their own. Come back and visit us again! More

We were scheduled to stay at the lodge for 3 nights and due to boating conditions we were unable to leave so were able to stay 4 nights. We were delighted with being detained. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the Pedersen Lagoon and Glacier. The food was very good and served family style,... More

Thanks for the wonderful feedback! In the rare event Mother Nature acts up and delays our boat service to the lodge, the upside is that it's an amazing place to be "stuck" for an extra night. We appreciate your positive attitude! More

We visited several lodges in different corners of Alaska and this place is the gold standard. You travel by ferry past whales to get there. Then cozy up to cracking glaciers before a short walk to the lodge itself. Each cabin looks out over the water and a massive glacier across the pond. Wildlife galore. Sea kayaking out amongst seals... More

This lodge was the highlight of our whole Alaskan trip! You couldn't ask for a more beautiful, serene, secluded setting. Everything, from the cozy cabins, the delicious food, the excellent staff to the beautiful lodge, was top notch. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny. The boat ride to and from the lodge was the best wildlife-sighting tour we had throughout... More

I stayed at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge as part of my 9-day tour with Alaska Wildland Adventures and it was the highlight of the trip. If you love nature, marine wildlife, birds, glaciers, lakes and mountains this place will not disappoint. We arrived after a four hour boat trip during which we feasted our eyes on several animal sightings. The... More

Thank you for sharing your experience at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge. Our boats can seat up to 36 guests, and we were running at a greater occupancy on your trip (30 guests) than our normal goal of 24 guests or less, due to a weather interruption which occurred a day before your adventure. We are excited to share that we... More

Our 4-day excursion to Kenai Fjord Glacier Lodge was very well run & orchestrated. The logistics were flawless – starting from check-in at Seward, to the boat rides and round-the-clock at the lodge, we were well taken care of every step of the way. E.g., luggage dropped off at Seward was already in our room when we were there. Friendly,... More
