The camp sites are spectacular and well maintained. The national park staff maintain and patrol the campground thoroughly so sites are clean and secure. We stayed in site #5 and the sites surrounding this section had wonderful views of the rock formations and the campfire backdrop was a large formation making an wonderful evening memory. I believe that many of... More

We are Trail Life USA. Youth male discipleship program. We go twice a year rock climbing to Indian Cove. Although 100 plus degrees labor day weekend, it was spectacular. We arrived late morning. We setup a climb and rapper. We climbed all afternoon. Cleaned up and had a wonderful dinner. Campfire and stories into the night. Up early next day.... More

Spent two nights over memorial weekend. Stayed on campite #33. Would have liked to give five stars but lack of warden and / or pep talk to guests meant that other campers detracted from the stay. We are an outdoorsy young family, there is meant to be quiet time from 10pm to 6am. However, other guests saw fit to party... More

We absolutely loved this campground! We had campsites #64 and #65, some say were the best tent sites at Indian Cove, with our very own cove. The sites were absolutely huge. One caution, you will not be able to drive your vehicle into your site. It is a short walk from where you park, on the side of the road... More

Amazing place. The sites are all surrounded by huge rock formations perfect for rock climbing or for creating some privacy. We booked site #63 and it was a little small for our oversized tent but ended up working out perfect. There's no water at this site, no sinks, showers, flush toilets etc. so bring your own water for drinking &... More

This is a beautifull place! We were totaly amazed by the nature. Sunset was awesome! It was quiet, no light smog - you could see all the stars. Toilets were clean. Campsite has a lot of space with tables, grill,.. (we had a group site). There is a water at the gate (2 minutes drive) from site. No showers. We... More

A bunch of friends and I stayed here on Memorial Day Weekend. The ground are great! Our site was super spacious and you're surrounded by all these high rocks and when the stars come out at night, it's very picturesque! The facilities are also nice - bathrooms, picnic table, parking, etc. It's a good base camp and it right in... More

Camped here with my husband on a Wednesday and Thursday night in May, 2013 and had an amazing experience. First, it helped that it was a week day b/c we were only 1 campsite out of 8 that were occupied on the campgrounds, so we enjoyed our privacy. I don't think this is the case on the weekends. Also because... More

So close, but yet, so far! About three hours from urban LA, you'll find a place like no other. Joshua Tree NP offers something for everyone. Full of unusual rock formations, this is where beginner and advanced rock climbers test their strength and agility. Not into climbing? No problem, just take a hike and enjoy the desert scenery and note... More

This was a really great place to camp. It was actually more crowded than expected but it was very nicely kept up. It's in a great location to boulder around and look at this crazy landscape that looks like you are on the moon. It was SUPER windy when there- that was in May, not sure if that was normal... More
