Stayed for 3 nights. It was such a great location for the volcanos , but was also a great sanctuary of restfullness.Wasnt too bothered about the breakfast issue as we are not really breakfast people but have to comment that Jason's banana bread was the best ive ever tasted. The place is spotless and attention to detail beyond any hotel ive... More

Fantastic place. Great location close to the Volcano NP. The accommodation is surrounded by greenery so is quiet & private. You will need an eye mask to sleep beyond sunrise though as there are only net curtains. Not a traditional B&B as you're left alone & breakfast is a do-it-yourself affair as they don't have a commercial kitchen licence -... More

Based on other tripadvisor comments, we selected this B&B as a treat experience for our recent Hawaiian vacation. It wasn't a cheap location even by Hawaiian standards. We had stayed in B&B's countless times in locations across the continental US and in Europe so know what it takes to make a great B&B. This one failed - although our room... More

We are so sorry your stay was less than expected. As property owners we market in different venues and many are third party so we don't always have complete control of the information out there. When people book direct they get more explicit details and check in information. On our direct website www.visitthevolcano.com you will notice that we are not defining... More

Does the thought of a B&B appeal to you, but not the prospect of getting up at a certain time to sit and converse with other vacationers? This is the place for you. There are two rooms set in the deep forest of Volcano, Hi, just outside Volcano National Park (also a house currently occupied by the caretaker). It is... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as we explored the volcano. This secluded hotel was a great place to stay after the day at the volcano. It's not really a hotel, its just to rooms attached to a private home. The rooms are decent size, not very large, but certainly big enough for 2, I would not bring a family... More

I live on the island but there is so much here that maybe the average tourist does not see or take advantage of, this little bed and breakfast a perfect example of how sometime destruction is necessary for regrowth to occur on our planet. The property At the Craters Edge is surrounded by lush tropical jungle. The little B&B is... More

We were astounded at the beauty of Craters Edge. It was carved out of thick rainforest. There are just two rooms. Haiku Garden is where we stayed. Two walls were floor to ceiling sliding doors looking out at the rainforest. There is a four poster bed with netting on the posters. There is a wooden walkway to a private sauna.... More

This beautiful, but small, property is tucked away in the tree lined streets of Volcano, HI. It's well hidden in the trees and is the perfect place for a couple to relax, escape, and unwind from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The property is a small "B&B" with only 3 rooms. Quotation marks are used because the breakfast... More

Unfortunately I was fooled by the favorable reviews of At the Crater's Edge and booked 3 nights here. Unlike all of the other hotels we made reservations at throughout our vacation, this place charged us immediately and appears to have the strictest of cancellation policies (presumably to prevent people from either turning away immediately pin arriving or from canceling the... We selected this place because it was close to Volcanoes Natl Park and Hilo. It was just about two miles from the park and about a mile from the very small town of Volcano. So for us, the location was just right. This place is very unique in a beautiful jungle-like setting. It is a private property with a main... More
