We have visited the Military Camp many times but never stayed. The Camp was running a special so we stayed in a 1 BR Apt for a few nights. The 1 BR Apartment was just fine. Separate bedroom, working fireplace. No kitchen amenities but there is a kitchen sink, small refer and microwave along with coffee maker. We ate all... More

Loved our family trip to Kilauea Volcano Military Camp. This was a short vacation that my family will always remember. I wished that we could've stayed longer, but all of the rooms were taken. You can bowl, watch movies (small theater), play video games, pool, ping pong, go bike riding, hiking and of course, see the beautiful volcano and so... More

Fantastic place and maintained in a high state of readiness by the employees. Everything is impeccable and cleanliness is at an all time high. Always enjoy our visits here but this last stay is definitely the best. Thanks to the hard working people there for making our visit memorable. As Arnold said, " I will be back".

We stayed here for 3 nights over the Christmas holiday. It was quite good. We paid $65 a night. They were having a special during the period we stayed. Our unit was a 1 bedroom. Big and comfortable although maybe a little outdated. The bed was too soft I thought. Breakfast at the dining room was good. We had vegi... More

This is a great place to stay in Volcano! It is reasonable and centrally located within the park. I've stayed there several times and each time in a joy! The reason why I don't give them a full 5 star (circle) rating is because the cabins are old, a bit outdated, and could use some maintenance. There are cobwebs everywhere... More

We stayed for one night in a cabin. There was a tropical storm passing near this part of the island, so the room with fireplace was very comfortable on a cold, wet evening. There is a mini mart on the property along with a fast food place (in the bowling alley) and a restaurant. Food was just so-so, but the... More

We paid quite a bit of $$$ for our lodging in bldg 76. The shower was disgusting. My Dad whom I've never seen actually ask for a refund did bc his dinner at the crater rim cafe was inedible. I saw the selections & went with the potato bar! I will say the employees were terrific & the location can't... More

If eligible, this is a great place to stay! Located conveniently wishing the national park, we were able to explore so much in the park without having to go far. My husband and I booked a one bedroom apartment with a jetted tub for $105/night. We are very into exploring and spend very little time in the room, so we... More

My wife and I were sadly disappointed during our May 2014 Stay on the Big Island. The place was, to us, a dump and not at all like the brochure. Got Asthma? No air conditioning but lots of mold. Desk personnel said we should have asked before booking. (I know of no hotels in Hilo or Honolulu that advertise air... More

Our family recently rented a 3 bedroom cabin (number 100) at the Military Travel Camp in Volcanoes National Park. The location is fantastic, as it is inside the National Park. We found the grounds to be very well maintained, and the site to be quiet, and uncrowded. Our cabin had a recently refurbished master suite with a king sized bed... More
