They have done a lot of work on these cabins since I stayed there 12 years ago. Now, the cabins are very comfortable and well kept. My son and I stated in Cabin 18 which had a 2 full size beds, a nice outer room, a clean bathroom with bath and shower, and even a fireplace. We stayed for a... More

WE spent 2 nights at the end of July in a one bedroom cabin at the front of the camp. It was great! Newly renovated with 2 flat screen TVs and a huge fireplace made from black volcanic rock. We had a king sized bed, couch, desk, and a mini kitchen with a small fridge. The weather is lovely and... More

We stayed at Kilauea Military Camp for a couple of nights. Great price and place to stay if you are military. Food was alright but very convenient. The camp is right in Volcano National Park and not too far from the glow of the volcano. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin. It is a cabin so it isn't super... More

After reading the reviews I was expecting a striped down cabin, but our 3 bedroom was just short of a fine hotel. It had been remodeled recently and included 2 large tubs one of which was jetted. The kids loved the colored lights in the tub. We had a washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. Our family loved the bowling... More

If you serve or have served in the military and can stay here, do it! You will not get a better value and convenience. The cabins are cozy and just a few steps to a bowling alley, game room, convenience store, bar and restaurant. We stayed for 4 nights and explored the entire Volcano, Puna, and Punaluu area while we... More

We had a 2 bedroom cottage which we shared with our daughter and son-in-law. It was a terrific experience to see the volcano at night and then go to our nearby cabin. We had dinner in the dining hall which is part of the compound. Definitely not luxurious, but comfortable and a great way to have a very up close and... More

We rented a four bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen bungalow for two families consisting of four adults and two children. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and suited us very well. Sited about halfway between Volcano National Park Visitor Center and Jagger Museum the camp is an ideal location for visiting the volcano.

Cabin & property well maintained. Very comfortable. Family enjoyed hiking trails. View of volcano spectacular! Was a fun time for all. Was very surprised with cabin (house w/kitchen & fireplace), although furnishing could be updated & bathroom urine smell eliminated. All in all was a good visit

We took a week long family trip to The Big Island and stayed at KMC. We rented a 1 room cottage. The cottage was really the size of a small apartment. It had a bedroom with two full size beds and a flat screen TV, a full bath, and a living room with a couch, easy chair, a desk, mini-fridge,... More

Stayed there over the 4th of July weekend. We had a two room cabin, #89, with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The accomodations were average but high end for a camp. Being able to soak in the jets following a long day of hiking was the best. And how often can you have a fire in Hawaii? The nights at... More
