“Very nice national park campground”

We enjoyed our stay - not a lot to do there but for some that is a good thing. Clean, quiet, lots of nature. We arrived on a weekday night. There are 9 camping spots and all but 3 were taken that night. Nice drive in. Found out later we could have taken road 408 and avoided much of Carlsbad... More

We have been to Dog Canyon in Oct, May and Jan and all seasons are great! If there is snow in winter, the deer are in the campground evenings and early mornings. It has a restroom that is heated in the winter. Otherwise it is primitve. It is a nice quiet place to enjoy for those who really love camping.... More
