The view of the rim from the room is not worth the price you pay for it. The room you get is basic, not worth the price. The parking situation here is horrible, and if you have luggage, it will be a back breaking task bringing it from the car to your room. Even getting parking just to check in... more

Stayed two nights, and pleasantly surprised our first trip to Canyon. Luv rim view from room, and central location! Ate dinner one evening right next door at Ariz room, and short walk to El Tover for dinner, and breakfest! Both meals surpassed expectations. And, did get up and out by 6:00AM for sunrise photos. We stayed at the Thunderbird Lodge at the end of our Rim-2-Rim hike. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of THE Canyon. We slept well. more

Great lodge/hotel location. Lodge/hotel room #6227 was ok BUT the cleanliness/housekeeping of the room was NOT good - Sadly the coffee maker, ceramic coffee mugs and ice bucket were all DIRTY.
