As I was only in the Grand Canyon Park for less than 48hours I only stayed at Maswik Lodge for one night. The hotel was nice, with clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed in one of the cabins and as there is no air con (just a ceiling fan) I wouldn't suggest you stay in one unless you're okay with... More

I stayed at the Maswik Lodge with my husband, son, and father for one night. We actually booked it as part of a the Railway Canyon package. I'm glad we stayed here simply because it allowed us to be so close the Grand Canyon. We were able to get up early and go hiking before it got too hot or... More

We booked 2 rooms here and were put close to registration and the parking lot. The first thing we did after dropping our things was to walk down to the rim of the canyon and that did not disappoint! We absolutely loved that we could walk along the canyon and visit the studio, eat at the Arizona lodge and even... More

I fully realize that Maswik Lodge is the step child of Grand Canyon Village but we loved it! It is a bit rustic but clean and comfortable. We stayed in one of the cabins and we're very satisfied with the size of the room and the air conditioning. Really, we had no complaints. Maswik is a short shady walk from... More

The last review seems to have an error... There was PLENTY of air conditioning, though it may not be needed most nights. The room was one of the most updated I have seen in a National Park in 30+ years. Is it the Hilton? No! But you are here for convenient access to the scenery, and this is a great... More

This was the only room available in the park for the dates we were going to be there. There isn't AC in the rooms, but there are two fans, and we were just fine (travelled in late June). It's an excellent home base if you're ok with a basic room - but it's very clean so don't worry about that.... More

My sister and I visited my son and his companion.it was our first vacation ever. the trip was great but when we got to the Canyon, it was completely breathe taking. Everyone was friendly, it was very clean, the park and the rooms. fantastic view, beautiful animals. the housekeeping staff was wonderful. i plan to visit again in Dec. i... More

I stayed in the Maswik Lodge cabins in early July. While the room was very hot during late afternoon, it quickly cooled off when it got dark so not having air conditioning is not an issue. However, the cabin just felt dirty - the carpet looks extremely old and the bedspread also looked old. While the room was technically clean(no... More

Not the fanciest accommodations but you can't beat the location and whatever you want to do around the Canyon, there are buses, vans, etc to pick you up. The room was clean and pretty big. There are several restaurants/bars/shops within walking distance and the Canyon is only a 5 minute walk.

This isn't The Bright Angel or El Tovar but I really like the stay. I preferred being a 5 minute walk from the rim as I didn't have people walking outside my room at all hours. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again.
