The Maswik Lodge is situated in the Grand Canyon National Park two minutes walk from the visitors centre and cafeteria and only a 5 minute walk to the viewing area. The cabins were spacious and clean plus a patio area outside with chairs to sit. Our room had a fridge,TV, wall safe and air con plus a fan on the... More

We at stayed for two nights at Maswik Lodge at the end of July. Family of five including two teenagers found the room very spacious and clean. Great location and good facilities..plenty of food choices and not too expensive. Used the shuttle buses and easy to access hiking trails from there. Only negatives...a few noise issues the second night...people partying... More

Our stay was booked by Amtrak Travel. We were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. Our room was quite large and was well appointed. There was a nice patio with chairs outside the room. The location is perfect with just a short walk to Grand Canyon Village along the canyon rim.

Room was better than expected, ample space with fridge and en- suite, clean. Was a bit stuffy but we didn't reserve a room with air-con so this was our choice, had fans in room. Great location, 2 min walk into Grand Canyon, perfect for what we wanted. The main lodge area had canteen with lots of choice, staff obviously working... More

The rooms are comfortable yet simple and spare; location is why we stayed here! Just a 5 minute walk through the Ponderosa pines and you're at the Grand Canyon rim. The rooms have all you need for a short stay-coffee maker, clean bathroom and fresh linens. If you don't expect anything more you'll be satisfied. It's a national park- we... More

The rooms are clean and quaint, but a bit rustic. WiFi is terrible. The rooms are spread out, so there may be some walking involved to get from the main lodge to your room. There is a food court and a pizza pub as well as a buffet which are a bit pricey.

Thank you for the review of the Maswik Cabins. These are rustic accommodations and in the budget category. I will forward your comments about the mattresses to the rooms department for their information. Thank you for sharing your experience . More

We did an overnight at the Grand Canyon during a visit to Las Vegas. Talk about night and day. Personally we prefer the serenity of the Canyon. We stayed at the Maswick Lodge in the Aspen building. The rooms were air conditioned. We didn't need it because it went down to 50's at night. The fan was sufficient. The lodge... More

Maswik lodge is a great place to stay if you want a place that is affordable and close to the south rim. We had a cabin that could fit in 5 people if needed. The beds weren't comfortable at all, it's not very comfortable if your other half turns around and you almost bump out of bed. The rooms were... More

Hotel was basic, comfortable and clean. The only complaint was the lack of air conditioning, the two fan were reasonable, but not quite good enough. People were even leaving the door open to get cooler. It was situated in a good spot and was far from restaurants. We stayed for two nights in the south part of the complex. They... More

We booked our August trip to the Grand Canyon in June and discovered that there was no accommodation available. However we travelled via the Grand Canyon Railway and their Canyon Discovery package and 1 nights accommodation at Maswick Lodge was included in the package. The room is basic but clean, the furnishings are dated. Our room door did not open... More

I am glad you were able to experience the canyon by train. I think it is the best way to arrive at the canyon. I am sorry to hear that the door to the porch or balcony did not work. I am sure we would have had maintenance repair it if you had called the front desk. I am glad... More
