We stayed at the Maswik Lodge for one very cold night on our way to Las Vegas. The "lodge" consists of many identical buildings surrounding a central site that contains hotel desk, gift shop, cafeteria and a pizza pub. The rooms open to the outside. The room was large, clean and WARM. I liked the wall mounted soaps and the... More

We booked the room well in advanced, about six months ago. The place is clean and cozy, surprisingly well heated for the cold February nights. For you Californians: a bottle of water left in the car overnight was still frozen at noon next day!!! This is a nice place to have lunch or dinner, everybody is friendly and welcoming. Pizza... We were so excited to be staying so close to the Grand Canyon and found a hotel that we thought we could afford. To start the room was $50.00 more than advertised on the Internet. The rooms seemed ok but not amazing so we thought dinner might make things feel better, we had been on the road for a few... More

We arrived late on a Monday night after the most enormous snow storm and woke up to the most beautiful winter wonderland. The lodge accommodation is soooo close to the main lodge amenities, easily walkable but we drove due to the immense amount of snow and coldness. We highly recommend having dinner in the tavern/bar area rather than the main... More

Loved the Grand Canyon and staying on site - it was very convenient. But...the rooms were small, dark and dated, and not very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and even warned us against going to the Maswik food court which we appreciated.

Good value here. Located in Grand Canyon Village, an easy walk to the Canyon Rim, and located on the free shuttle bus line that will take you anywhere in the National Park. Everything worked here, rooms are simple and kept clean. Check in and out were efficient, the facility has a cafeteria style "food court" or a Pizza Pub, where... More

We booked in to the South Lodge on Christmas day for one night. The reception staff were rude and sarcastic, so much so that my brother complained to the manager and with good reason. The rooms were'nt clean, in fact I found a dirty sock under the bed! The toilet hadn't been cleaned and there was "fall out" around the... More

We called and waited and called and waited and called and waited for a bed for my mother (we had three adults and two children and two queen beds) and waited nearly four hours before someone brought the bed. This very much tainted the stay. It was freezing and she was more than ready to go to sleep. The room... More

We got the room after 2 days refreshing the booking site every five minutes and found an available day. The room was clean but pretty old. The staff is helpful. The location is great! It is close to the restaurants and shops, and the trails, too.

We stayed for two nights, the second floor room was warm. Guestroom interior and furniture is very old, 1980s style, tube TV, no Wi-Fi, flat pillows. Lobby is more modern, with a gift shop, pizza bar and food court. There is Internet in the lobby. Located in the village short walk away from the rim.
