I stared at Maswik lodge during my Grand Canyon visit last week for two nights. The lodge is inside the national park and hence very good location if you are staying overnight as you can easily get the shuttle in the park right outside the lodge. In terms of convenience the rooms are large, spacious. However being old built the... More

These rooms are older and outdated, but we paid $100 a night which was a good price to stay inside the park. There are no AC's in the room, but they do have a couple of fans. I would recommend they add new bath towels. They look like they have seen better days. A mule deer walked right pass our... More

The lodge we stayed in was gorgeous, facing the train tracks, really secluded. We were at the Grand Canyon to see it, but the lodge was definitely a highlight. That being said, I was astounded by the high price for food in the lodge. A small piece of lasagna (about 2x2 was 8 dollars and my fiance's chicken sandwich was... More

After staying two nights at the Maswik Lodge, I just read a bunch of reviews and I was surprised at some of them. Yes, this lodge probably gets some higher ratings based on the location but isn't that why you'd pick to stay there? If you want tons of "amenities" wouldn't you be going to a five star hotel somewhere... More

Nice over-sized room that worked well for us as we were approaching the turnaround point of our cross country trip. Ideally located to get you to the hot spots in the morning with a short drive. Yes it is a little dated but that added to the charm for us, it was nice to have a deck to sit out... More

So, this would be the most expensive motel in the US- were it not for the convenience to the Canyon. My family and I arrived at dusk for a one night stay en route from Las Vegas to San Diego (scenic route through Phoenix and along I-8.) We decide that we would wait until the next day to view the... We were pleasantly surprised by the Maswik Lodge accommodations! We stayed on the 2nd floor end unit facing the woods and it was a great location. The rooms were clean and bigger than expected. They had just been remodeled. Our room also had air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a balcony. The Maswik Lodge is located near the entrance to... More

We stayed 2 nights in Maswik Lodge, which is located in the middle of Grand Canyon National Park. The location is great (2 min to the rim) but the accommodation is outdated. However, the room were clean. WiFi did not work at all.

Located in the park, it's the principal advantage of this hotel. Near to the beginning of Hermit Rest Route, you will be able to discover the Grand Canyon by feet or by bus easily. Don't search the charm with this hotel but the praticity : a restaurant and a shop are located in this place, attached to the hotel. Ideal... More

The rooms we had were un-airconditioned and dubiously clean. Even with the window and door open and fans going it was nearly impossible to sleep. We were tempted to drag our comforters outside and sleep on the balcony! It would have been cleaner and cooler than our room! :'(
