Very old motel. Cracks in shower, walls dirty. Breadspread and blanket not covered by a sheet. Feels dirty. At end of building, can heTar everyone on stairs. Musty smell. Can hear buses and cars too. Location great though.

It is a nice small hotel, it is very simple but nice, very close to the grand canyon and the shuttle. The restaurants are nice, friendly staff and the rooms are nothing spectacular but they have everything you need. If you stay here don't miss the opportunity to eat at el tovar.

The accomodation is like any other National Park lodge, standard and comfortable. I thought the cafe was large and noisy. Many families eat there and there were two lines for breakfast and it was confusing, depending on what kind of meals you like. The lines were very long and discouraging. There was no place to bus your own dishes so... More

North room. Nothing special. Worn and dated. Comfortable bed. Noisy air-con/heating . Can hear footsteps very clearly from room above. Toiletries in dispensers were OK. Fridge froze items placed inside. Wifi included, but dodgy. Pair of socks and tissue behind bedside table. (Only looked as needed socket close to he'd to charge phone). Location is the reason for staying here.... More

Stayed in the south rim lodges, you could beat the location we were approx 400m from the rim edge. The lodge was clean an comfy and had what you needed, there was a food/canteen area which served selection of meals, including sandwiches, hot meals, burgers and pizza was available in the bar. Breakfast was also served in this area. There... More

We primarily chose this lodging due to it's location. It lived up to its expectations in this respect as we could walk to Bright Angel Lodge for a good dinner and most importantly, the Grand Canyon for a nice walk. The price was reasonable for the level of accommodation. It was a comfortable, spacious room in a lodge. Don't expect... More

I ate in Maswik cafe back in 2004 and I was very happy about the service and the quality of food! The place is very clean and the food quite tasty and the staff is giving the best they can to please everybody! So if you get to Grand Canyon don't hesitate to try the food in this cafe, especially... More

We stayed here for one night when visiting the Grand Canyon. This hotel is relatively basic which is fine after all you are in a National Park! I feel some of the previous reviews of this hotel have been a bit harsh. The rooms were clean and large enough to fit our sons port crib, we stayed in one of... More

I'd probably give this 3 1/2 stars. We stayed at the Maswick Lodge five years ago, and we decided to go back because of the location near the rim and because none of the rim hotels was available. I had considered the Maswick very rustic and basic then. Maybe because I had fairly low expectations, our stay turned out to... More

I know, I was there for canyon. The room was convenient. The restaurant next door had great hot wings. But, the rooms were extremely outdated, worn down, and tiny. It wasn't like a lodge at all, it was a place to bunk. I should have tempered my expectations, but I was disappointed. I was there in Mid-March, and the parking... More
