Hot, hot and hot! Our room on the ground floor we had No air conditioning. We were unable to open windows because the windows were screwed down. Two fans which were noisy, circulated hot air all night, so at about 4:00am we ended up sitting outside...we did not feel comfortable leaving the door open whilst we slept as we were... More

The environment was rustic but the amenities in Maswick North were great. Clean and Roomy. Don't let the ugly bedspreads scare you! Very nice place. Our unit was near the lodge and air conditioned. Not all are beware when reserving. Short stroll to the rim and restaurants, shops etc. The whole park operation is vast, organized, and impressive.

There are lots of hotel choices when staying at Grand Canyon, but if you want something that's conveniently located to the South Rim, transportation and other Park services look no further than the Maswik. A 5-min walk to the Rim and Bright Angel Lodge; Park bus stop right there; excellent cafeteria-style food service with a great selection: fast & priced... More

Having stayed in national parks before, we knew before checking in that this would not be luxurious. However, the facility is run down, the rooms are due for a refresh. Note that not all cabins have a/c; you need to request that at the time of reservation and it may not be available. It also gets cold at night due... More

Stayed at the Maswik in July of 2014. Rooms were clean and had all the necessary comforts including refridgerator, TV, safe, table and chairs. Rooms are slightly dated but are what you'd expect for the price. No wifi was available in our room, though I understand it was available nearby and the TV was old with few channel selections -... As I was only in the Grand Canyon Park for less than 48hours I only stayed at Maswik Lodge for one night. The hotel was nice, with clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed in one of the cabins and as there is no air con (just a ceiling fan) I wouldn't suggest you stay in one unless you're okay with... More

I stayed at the Maswik Lodge with my husband, son, and father for one night. We actually booked it as part of a the Railway Canyon package. I'm glad we stayed here simply because it allowed us to be so close the Grand Canyon. We were able to get up early and go hiking before it got too hot or... More

We booked 2 rooms here and were put close to registration and the parking lot. The first thing we did after dropping our things was to walk down to the rim of the canyon and that did not disappoint! We absolutely loved that we could walk along the canyon and visit the studio, eat at the Arizona lodge and even... More

I fully realize that Maswik Lodge is the step child of Grand Canyon Village but we loved it! It is a bit rustic but clean and comfortable. We stayed in one of the cabins and we're very satisfied with the size of the room and the air conditioning. Really, we had no complaints. Maswik is a short shady walk from... More

The last review seems to have an error... There was PLENTY of air conditioning, though it may not be needed most nights. The room was one of the most updated I have seen in a National Park in 30+ years. Is it the Hilton? No! But you are here for convenient access to the scenery, and this is a great... More
