We got this hotel as a package. We were not expecting anything at all... But this was a pleasant surprise. Most places we stayed inside a national park is old, dirty and musty. Maswik is definitely showing its age but everything is well kept. Rooms are in excellent shape for its age. Linens and bathrooms are clean.. What else can... More

The location was great. It had a summer camp feel in the middle of the woods. A short walk to the rim and the Hermit point bus pick up. The rooms are small but have the basics. Bed was hard. Luckily we had AC because it was hot when we were there. If you go in the summer be sure... More

Most hotels in the National Park are basic so expectations need to be adjusted. Maswik is a short walk to the south rim, a little bit further to the south rim village and quite near the shuttle to Hermit's Rest. It is quiet and has a less expensive dining option as well as a nice gift shop. When I am... More

stayed there with my family (6y +1y) for 1 night. the room was extremely hot when we checked in, but with a doors opened - it cooled enough and we had a good night sleep. it was clean room, with good fridge. no internet though in the room, but 1 day in such a park we survived :)

Maswik was an enjoyable place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. While not on the rim, it is only a short walk and everything is extremely accessible to you. Our rooms were air conditioned, large, clean, well equipped and it was only a short walk to the food court. The rooms further away were not air conditioned, so you... More

Yuck! Yuck! We booked one night at Maswik. It was the only lodging left available in Grand Canyon Village 6 months in advance of our trip, so we booked it despite poor TripAdvisor reviews. We visited in June when daytimes were over 100 degrees and maswik has NO AC! We had a room with two little electric fans, one of... More

This clean, adequate, hotel was terrific. Very close to the south rim, a 4 minute walk. The park was very busy, we were glad to be a quick walk away from the hustle and bustle of the photo ops. We were up early in the am (7) was did a terrific hike away from the shops, etc. then caught a... More

Convenient Stop in Grand Canyon. Room was air conditioned, clean and a convenient walk to the lodge. My travel buddy loved the Keurig in the room. There is a small patio area outside the rooms, although we could not enjoy it because of smokers next door.

I got one of the USD 200/night rooms at Maswik Lodge. I do think they are grossly overpriced but I guess thats the price of National Park rooms. What I liked most about Maswik is the food court - which made affordable food available to the masses (compared to restaurant) and the proximity to the Hermits Rest bus transfer. the... More

We stayed at the Maswik Lodge with a large group (13 people). All we can say about this hotel is that it is VERY basic, VERY pricey accommodation - $200/night for a one star hotel quality. Next time, I'd stay right outside the park in one of the chain hotels and probably have a 10x better experience. The room was... More
