Remember, you are in the Grand Canyon! This hotel was disappointing. We stayed one night and left to stay at a place in Tusayan, about 10 minutes drive from the Canyon. Way better place! It's great to stay in the Canyon but there are other options that could be better.

Bought a package which started in Williams at the train station. That went very well but the experience so far at the Maswik Lodge is "average". What would it take to move the bar to "very good" excluding major renovations? 1. Each room should have WiFi. Our building is too far from the main lodge so we are "without"! In... More

We stayed for two nights . The hotel is ideally positioned within the Grand Canyon village. It is just a short walk to the canyon and there is a shuttle bus which stops at the front of the hotel that will take you further up the canyon. The restaurant facilities in the hotel provided a good variety of basic food.... More

Two nights we booked, at Maswik Lodge, one of Xanterra's Grand Canyon State Park Lodges to chose from. We stayed in WHITE FIR, second level, a North Room with 2 Queen Beds. No King available... but the North Rooms do have air conditioning. Maswik Lodge is NESTLED IN THE PONDEROSA PINE FOREST... You are free for the use of all... More

Hotel is right in Grand Canyon Village (a little walk or bus ride to the Canyon itself). Hotel is very quiet - which was nice. The cafeteria in the main lodge is very convenient with easy choices - opens early for hikers so you can eat and catch the hikers express from the Backcountry office. Rooms are in separate buildings... More

We booked this on short notice after first planning an overnight stay at Yavapai Lodge nearby, and drove about 5 hours with 2 stops en route from Vegas, arriving mid-afternoon in time on 10/30 to see the sights & sunset from the lookout. Had a light supper at the Lodge's cafe with reasonable prices below most theme parks these days... More

My husband and I hike the Canyon almost year and have for 6 of the last 8 years. We always stay at the N side of Maswik; about a 5 minute walk to the trail head and the Canyon itself. Each morning a herd of deer walk through the area. The rooms are always clean. This is a "rustic" natural... More

We took a side trip from Las Vegas to see the Grand Canyon. Stayed one night (November 2,2014) in Maswik Lodge which was excellent. Rooms are neat and clean and just a short walk to the canyon rim. We did not eat at the cafe at Maswik but had some fabulous meals at the Arizona Room (Bright Angel Lodge) and... More

The Maswik Lodge is only 5 minutes per foot away from the Grand Canyon Rim. The Shuttle Bus departures directly on front of the main building. The pizza in the pizza pub was good but for breakfast I would recommend the restaurant in the Bride Angel Lodge only 10 minutes per foot away. Wifi is available in the main building.... More

My wife and I stayed two nights in a cabin at Maswik Lodge. The exterior of the cabin gave me concerned -- rather tired. The room was simple, with an old TV, no A/C, no wi-fi. It was quiet and walking distance from the Grand Canyon and the bus line. I was concerned that there's a train track 20 yards... More
