My travel agent trip was a joint venture of the AZ CVB and the Grand Canyon Railway..so it included arriving to the Grand Canyon and staying within the park (which I HIGHLY recommend). We stayed here and the El Tovar but visited all of the hotel options within the park and my best suggestion to anyone is to check all... More

Love this lodge, stayed here a couple of times and always enjoyed it, 5 min walk to the rim of the canyon, awesome food court options and one of only 2 ATMs in the park also a gift shop, free wifi. If you are looking for a great value for money place to stay in the park look no further... More

This was our only option as all the other accommodation was fully booked - it was very economical and we were happy to be staying inside the park - we didn't have any unrealistic expectations. Being able to walk everywhere was worth the extremely hot and dirty room. The beauty of the grand canyon was breathtaking and if nothing else... More

The Maswick Lodge was included in our Canyon Railway Tour. For the price it is acceptable. THE FOOD, however, is a different story! The hotel offers a cafeteria and pizza pub for eating options. There are about 6 food stations. Between the four of us we ordered Teriyaki vegetarian noodles ($6), Chili burger ($7.50) and Navaho Taco Salad ($9.50). The... More

It is more rustic than dated but totally fits right in with the Grand Canyon setting; just please don't confuse reviewer's "dated" comments with being old. The furniture and bedding is newer with a southwestern theme. New tile in bathroom. Mirror, counter and coffee maker area is spacious; nice, big open closet area too. The TV need updating but if... Nice, Clean lodging at the Grand Canyon. A short walk to the canyon rim with the opportunity to see wildlife up close. The rooms are clean and but basic, and there is a cafeteria in the complex with super prices. For people traveling on a budget or just wanting to save money, this is the place !

The road into the grand canyon is long. it takes well over an hour with no traffic. In season, you're in for a long ride in. Do yourself a favor and stay in the park. there are Maswik 2-story buildings and there are cabins - a 1-story building with 4 separate rooms (a door on each side). We stayed in... More

Pay no attention to the poor reviews. This is great accommodation reasonably priced within the park. It can't be compared with the noisy commercial town beyond the entrance. This concessionaire does a fine job in our national parks. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would like to see warm comforters to snuggle under in the winter. Wifi is spotty... More

I think you get the gist from all the reviews that this is not a hotel as such, but lodge rooms for hikers etc. All seemed clean, if a little dated and drab. The heating took little getting used to and there was no view as such as the lodges are set away from the rim and the windows faced... More

Maswik Lodge is the cheap option when visiting the Grand Canyon. We had no other option, as Bright Angel was fully booked. Maswik is a basic motel-style place, with very bare rooms. As we were there in the middle of summer, we really felt the absence of air-conditioning in the room, but....we didn't care, we were at the Grand Canyon!... More
