We stayed here on an overnight visit to the Grand Canyon. The reviews on here make me laugh, we came here straight from The Bellagio in Vegas and it was ok. Yes it's basic but it's a stone's throw to one of natures most amazing sight's, it's clean, warm and loads of hot water and towels and well as slow... More

Stayed in a double queen room which worked out to be roughly $35 per person, value for money considering we were 10 minutes from the rim! If you're tossing up a stay in the park versus a stay in Tusayan or Flagstaff, I'd definitely opt for a stay in the park. Maswik Lodge provides an affordable option, just make sure... More

Only stayed one night, staff was great, room was adequate and had the expected amenities. Stayed in the North end which had A/C. However, the rooms themselves are quite a walk from the main office and sort of out in the woods and dark at night.

This hotel/Lodge sits in a lovely location very close to the South Rim ok the rooms are not plush with all the mod cons but you come for the views and hardly spend any time in the room. It took us five minutes to walk down to the rim to see the sunset but take a torch with you gets... More

The South Rim experience is a great one, but the costs are high for a standard motel room at Maswik Lodge. Room is sufficient in size. TV is an older, boxy model. Amenities are standard. You would pay $79 or so for this room elsewhere. It was clean. Bedding and towels were sufficient. The Lodge is on a bus route.... More

Restful, comfortable - appreciated after hiking rim to rim! Nicely appointed room, professional staff. Close to other areas on South Rim. Highly recommended. Good value for cost of lodging in desirable location at height go tourist season. Good transportation resources in area.

don't expect an luxuries but the lodge was clean and the bed was comfortable. we probably didn't give it it's best chance as we arrived at 1.30am and then had to unload heavy suitcases and stagger up the outside steps to our room. There is nothing to eat in the rooms - complimentary biscuits etc so make sure you take... More

Firstly, the South Rim experience is exceptional. The lodge & visitor complex is literally metres from the edge of the canyon. Shuttle buses are well run and informative staff. Maps are freely available and worth using. Catering is basic, but perfectly acceptable fast food. The staff are enthusiastic and helpful. But..... No air conditioning in the rooms. A relatively cold... More

Thank you for your comments on Maswik Lodge. The rooms you stayed in are in the South Section, our budget rooms. Once a new contract is awarded, this property will be removed and a new property built. We look forward to this and continuing to serve Grand Canyon guests in to the future. More

Being able to stay in the National Park was perfect. The room was basic but clean and big enough for my wife & myself. We were 2 minutes walk from both the Rim Trail and the shuttle bus if you wanted to go elsewhere in the Park. The cafeteria at the Lodge was reminiscent of a school canteen. There was... More

We stayed at Maswik Lodge as part of the Grand Canyon Train package. The motel room was clean, fresh smelling, and quiet. Staying overnight at the Grand Canyon was much better than driving in for just the day. The free bus system makes it easy to see the whole park.
