My husband, young sons and I stayed at Kachina Lodge for three nights, August 17-20. We were on the second floor in what they call a "partial view" room. The view was more than "partial" in my opinion. We had a fabulous view of the canyon. The outside of the building is a bit drab and dormitory looking but the... More

Kachina Lodge has a great view, its a great location, nothing really to add here except the fact that our AC unit didn't really cool the room down when we were getting ready to go to dinner. At night the temps are much cooler (we went in July) and the windows open is all good for sleeping, but during the... More

My sister-in-law and I stayed at Kachina Lodge on August 8, 2014, while our husbands hiked down S. Keibab Trail to stay at Phantom Ranch. When I had to change our reservation from Phantom Ranch (due to knee surgery issues), the lady at Xanterra booked us at Kachina Lodge, but for a night in which we already had a reservation... More

If you are looking for a charming lodge or a four star hotel, this is not for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable room with an amazing view of the Canyon, restaurants, gifts shops, ice cream shops, mule rides, hiking trails, museum, ranger talks and walks, sunrise and sunset in brilliant color streaming into your room, then stay... This was our first nights accommodation on our 15 day bus tour of the National Parks. Our room was upstair but close to the outside door for easy in out access. Just a short walk to the edge of the Canyon. We took a glass of wine and sat on the bench overlooking the canyon. Beautiful spot. The rooms were... More

Stayed here for one night during a recent road trip. We wanted to stay at the canyon so this hotel was a good choice. Our room was a streetside room which was clean and provided everything we needed, we didn't book a canyon view room but it was only a 2 minute walk to see the canyon. Only issue we... More

Once you plan to stay near the Grand Canyon, treat yourself to a stay as close to the rim as possible. The Kachine Lodge is on the rim, with the rooms large windows facing the canyon. The rooms are nice, and the amenities plenty. Great with a coffeamaker in the room - and nice coffea to be brewed as well.... More

I have read some pretty mixed and mealy-mouthed reviews of Kachina Lodge. But actually, I thought it was a good place to stay. Yes, it isn't cheap, but the location is just amazing. A few yards from the Canyon - which makes appreciating it and catching sunset and sunrise so easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable and not as... More

Our room had “partial view of the Canyon” just as we booked it. View would be even better if weather was cooperating little bit more – it was cloudy evening and cloudy morning. I thought I made mistake by booking Kachina lodge for more than double price of Maswik loge, however, you realize how good location is after long hike.... More

This isn't a Four Seasons. However, this isn't a motel either. This is a very clean room with nice amenities in the middle of a wonderful national park with in some cases amazing canyon views! I would stay here again in a second right by all the action.
