The rooms are a bit dated , but we're very clean and reasonably well appointed . The rooms that overlook the canyon are a must , and have superb views . The checkin is through the El tovar lodge next door , and from my view point is the better option due to the views . The parking is limited(... More

We stayed in a non-canyon view room in the last week of November. We arrived in the late afternoon and had to circle parking lots for 20 minutes before a space opened up. I spoke to the front desk about this and they are well aware of the problem (and their solution is to take you to a lot quite... More

After a nightmare journey from the UK via Las Vegas, we arrive at Kachina Lodge at 1am. Went into the El Tovar Lodge to check in, the guy at reception was very friendly and helpful, even at that time in the morning. Drove round to Kachina Lodge and had a welcome party of 3 elk eating grass right outside the... More

Has all the amenities one would expect, such as TV, wifi, coffee making facilities, toiletries, etc. The lodge has measures in place to ensure it is Eco friendly. Some of the rooms has nice views. Large common area with vending machines for snacks and drinks available.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in this hotel. The room was lovely and we looked out our window window into the Grand Canyon. If you want a great view you do have to make reservations up to 9 months ahead. We enjoy going to places and never having to move the car (which we did here).

Clean simple rooms nothing to fancy. Perfect location for walking/ sight seeing around south rim. Close to gift shops, galleries and great restaurants. View from level 2 rooms outstanding. Parking is hard to come by so be prepared to park and walk to your room.

The hotel 's position could not be better only 100 yards from the Grand Canyon's edge. Ideal to see sun-sets and sun-rise. The accommodation was only average and in need of refurbishment but what marks out this hotel is the position. The food was good but not outstanding but plentiful and delicious as were the breakfasts.

We loved our room and the view. Our room was on the second level and faced the rim (it was autumn so no leaves on the trees). The linens were above average as was the rest of the room. There were plentiful amounts of Kuerig cups including tea and they provided lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner all in large dispensable bottles... More

Thank you for your comments on our Kachina Lodge. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and that the linens met your expectations. The bulk amenities are just one of our environmental initiatives to help reduce our impacts in the national parks where we operate. I am glad you liked them, and that you noticed this small part of our... More

The Kachina Lodge sits right by the South Rim and is next door to the historic El Tovar Lodge. In fact, you check-in at El Tovar for the Kachina. The exterior as well as the interior hallways of the Kachina are 60's motel style but our room was totally renovated and very comfortable. A good bathroom ,writing table, small 'fridge,... More

We selected a 2 Queen standard room and were upgraded to an amazing canyon view from the first floor! The building looks a bit like a cement dormitory on the outside and in the hallways, but if was quite nice inside!
