We drove out to the canyon and stayed one night at this lodge. Very nice room with an incredible view of the canyon. We checked in after dark, but woke up and opened the blinds to see the canyon for the first time. The bathroom was updated with nice tile backsplash and included a heater. The room came with a... We just stayed one night at the Kachina Lodge early Jan 2015--tip--get a rim view room, second floor!! Our room was 6347 for reference. Approx $200 for the winter night, room had two queens, mini fridge, microwave (?), and a nice bathroom. Also had a Keurig--my fav hotel feature these days. I loathe old school coffee hotel pots. We had... More

My grandson and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas at the Kachina Lodge at the Grand Canyon. Our room was spacious, clean and stocked with lots of different coffees and teas. We had a large wall of windows overlooking the canyon. My room was described as a partial view of the canyon but we were very pleased at how close... More

For a second time we stayed as a family at the Kachina Lodge. The facility has been renewed a few years ago, and the rooms are small but comfortable. We had a good canyon view even from our first floor location. Parking is a hassle, even in winter. My wife stayed in the car while I went to register us.... More

The rooms are a bit dated , but we're very clean and reasonably well appointed . The rooms that overlook the canyon are a must , and have superb views . The checkin is through the El tovar lodge next door , and from my view point is the better option due to the views . The parking is limited(... More

We stayed in a non-canyon view room in the last week of November. We arrived in the late afternoon and had to circle parking lots for 20 minutes before a space opened up. I spoke to the front desk about this and they are well aware of the problem (and their solution is to take you to a lot quite... More

After a nightmare journey from the UK via Las Vegas, we arrive at Kachina Lodge at 1am. Went into the El Tovar Lodge to check in, the guy at reception was very friendly and helpful, even at that time in the morning. Drove round to Kachina Lodge and had a welcome party of 3 elk eating grass right outside the... More

Has all the amenities one would expect, such as TV, wifi, coffee making facilities, toiletries, etc. The lodge has measures in place to ensure it is Eco friendly. Some of the rooms has nice views. Large common area with vending machines for snacks and drinks available.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in this hotel. The room was lovely and we looked out our window window into the Grand Canyon. If you want a great view you do have to make reservations up to 9 months ahead. We enjoy going to places and never having to move the car (which we did here).
