Rooms were a good size, comfortable and nice. Hotel is just a few steps away from the rim of Canyon. Saw elks grazing just outside the rooms. Although front desk is only at El Tovar, it is not far away. Staff were friendly and checking in and out was fast. It was also easy to drive out of the park... More

Although the rooms were a little dated which is usually the case with in the park accommodation, the cleanliness was second to none. The room was very spacious with 2 double beds and lots of room to move around. The hotel itself is situated between the El Tovar and the Bright Angel which are pretty much next door so you... More

My wife and I have stayed at many National Parks throughout the West. The accommodations at Kachina Lodge were better than most, and the view trumped all others! Remember, this is a National Park hotel review, not a downtown Phoenix hotel review. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. The room and bathroom were clean... More

I was thrilled when I saw how close the Kachina Lodge was to the Canyon Rim. We could look out our ground floor window and see it along with the elk and mule deer that gathered on the grass outside our window. The three hotels were very close together and it was easy to walk over to the other hotels... More

We stayed two nights in room 6351 which was a partial rim view room on the second floor of Kachina Lodge. The room had two queen beds. It was not a large room and after two adults, two kids and five assorted suitcases were squeezed in, there was not a lot of floor space left. But we were not there... More

The rooms were excellent, modern, clean and comfortable and perfect after hiking the Canyon. The hotel itself was good, the corridors clean and the feel and aesthetics weren't out of place with the Canyon. The good: Modern rooms, satellite TV, nice baths and up to date furniture, wifi etc. The views were just around the corner from our rooms (the... More

The Kachina Lodge is located in a prime location of the Grand Canyon National Park. It is right on the rim trail and next to El Tovar, the Canyon's premier hotel, and two stops down from Bright Angel Lodge, the Canyon's most action-packed lodging. Other than El Tovar, Kachina the priciest hotel and for it, you have access to what... More

Didn't get a chance to stay at El Tovar but Kachina was fantastic! Right on the rim and kind of in the middle of things, next to El Tovar, Bright Angel restaurant and trail head. Didn't have a rim view from my room but was very nice. Clean room and comfortable beds, fridge, a safe and it's a short walk... More

The Kachina lodge is located on the south rim. We had a room overlooking the rim which offered a great view on the Grand Canyon. The room was clean. The bathroom is quite small. We loved the room but the Xanterra policy regarding pets is a downer: no pets in any of their facilities. We had to bring our dog... More
