Its a hotel from 1911 so it is full of historie and all kind of stuffed animals. very nice restaurant we had a wonderful dinner with a super wine and the sunset just outside the window ,you mightthink its... We stayed at the Grand Canyon for one night whilst on tour. The room (a double) was small but adequate. The hotel has a lovely ambience and the restaurant, which we used for our evening meal was probably one of the best dining experiences of our holiday. The food was cooked beautifully, well presented and piping hot, the restaurant service... More

Stayed one night during our visit of grand canyon and i must say that i am disappointed, for start after few hours of driving from Vegas me and my wife were too tired and we had to search for parking more than 30 minutes around park, we parked our car 20 minutes walking distance from hotel, not matter whether you... You can't get any better then this location. Our room was just steps to the rim of the canyon. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Some people might find them a little small, but keep in mind that this hotel is 100 years old and rooms were not very spacious back then. We found them very comfortable. The room was... More

Our check in was fast and friendly. Our room was clean, and comfortable. Location was spectacular, walk out the front and you are just yards away from the rim. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit and stay at the canyon.

Cost us $209 American or something like that for one night, but I thought it was well worth it. Room was small (nice though with lovely paintings), but you are really paying for the location. You are right at the Grand Canyon. The El Tovar is a lovely lodge with the best coffee I've ever had---we really appreciated that after... More

We were lucky to get a room in El Tovar (2 months before trip). The location is a short stroll to the rim of the Grand Canyon. Rooms are simple and small...what else do you need when you will be outdoors most of the time. Our room was located terrace level which involves stairs going to it. One suggestion to... More

This is the premium hotel at the South Rim. Probably not the best idea for young children and ideal for that special occasion, like honeymoons. I have stay at most all of the rim hotels and all fit the bill for a good quiet night's sleep. My suggestion, Stay at Thunder Bird or Bright Angel and use the money you... More
