Bright Angel is a modest well priced lodge right on the South Rim. You can't get much closer! Sure it was a busy spot during the day what with all the tourists, but the lodge itself was quiet as most people are outside anyway. The room was clean, the shared shower was clean and we never had to wait for... more

The Bright Angel Lodge's rim cabins are simple accommodations facing a world class view. We could see the canyon from our bed! This is a once in a life time experience - but only for those who do not mind exchanging luxury for location. There is no glamour here - just a simple room with a gas fireplace - but... more

I, along with my brother & sister, stayed one night in a "historic suite" cabin. Basically, what this means is that there are the usual rooms in the main lodge of Bright Angel (which I did not see) and then there are seperate cabins to the west of the main lodge. Each cabin, of varying size, is then divided into... more

We hiked to the bottom 2x in a year and stayed at the Bright Angel Lodge both times-in Buckey and it was a good value for us-we were right on the rim and I am always awe struck by the Canyon. We ate 1x at El Tolvar but way to expensive and food was just okay for us, the restaurant... more

I'd spoken with someone when booking our rooms and went with their opinion that the Canyon View cabins weren't really worth that much extra money. She was right - we were more than happy with our rooms in the Lodge. We did the mule ride to the bottom of the Canyon and had a room in 1 Lodge the first... more

We had a "partial view". Partial my tush! There were MAYBE a few tree branches inhibiting our spectacular view. The room was as advertised, rustic, simple, clean. The bed was comfy, the fireplace was toasty warm, and the location was to die for! The ONLY downside was that noise does transfer and when neighbors were making a racket, i was... more

We rented 2 duplex cabins at Bright Angel Lodge while visiting Grand Canyon. The cabins had tv and coffee makers, and we found them to be clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the thin wall separating the units would have been a problem if there were strangers in the next cabin. It's on the expensive side, but for... more

We stayed in 2 cabins at the Bright Angel Lodge on the rim trail. They both had fireplaces and we could get from one cabin to another through 2 doors that went into a common hallway. No other doors opened into that hallway, so we could just leave the doors open. There were cabins connected in back of each of... more

We stayed for 3 nights in a canyon view cabin (6151) for $175/night. Check-in early was possible, and desk staff very friendly and helpful. Cabin cozy and while not spacious was quite functional. Queen bed was ROCK HARD and the foam pillows also very hard. Gas fireplace was nice on chilly nights and mornings. Small fridge was very handy along... more

Visiting from Australia we stayed in a cabin for 2 nights during our 6 week trip from Australia. Check in was efficient. We stayed in a cabin (6195)that basically held two different sets of visitors with an adjoining door in between. When we entered the cabin for the first time we found that the connecting door could not be locked... more
