I've stayed here twice - in Powell Lodge. Very comfortable accommodation with private toilet and sink, and shared bath or shower.Canyon access couldn't be better with the rim just 60 seconds walk away. Parking can be another matter... Each time the bed was comfortable and the rooms clean and spacious. The shared showers are great - a strong stream of... More

We chose this lodge because this was the meeting point for a guided walk to Bright Angel Campsite. We had no idea that there were other hotels adjacent to it. Thunderbird Lodge is next door and a short walk further along the rim is El Tovar. I would say that they become increasingly luxurious. However we were very happy with... More

We stayed at the Bright Angel Lodge during the winter. The stay was fantastic! Our cabin was about a 1-2 minute walk from the main office and the rim of the Grand Canyon. We were able to hop right out of bed and watch the sun rise over the Canyon. The cabin was perfect and was an incredible price. This... More

Nice, warm room, with lots of hot water for the shower. Not a lot of clothes storage, but how much would you bring to the Grand Canyon anyway? The TV didn't work (I admit we wanted to veg out with a TV show after a day gazing at jaw-dropping views) because the cable provider had gone bankrupt. And the wifi... More

Pros - the location and grounds are amazing. Cons - the rooms and the staff. The hotel is literally on the rim path and the grounds and area beautiful. The rooms would have to be much larger to be called small. Taking a shower in the old tub bath conversion, flat out dangerous. The beds.... The staff members I encountered... More

Wow, on the southern rim of the canyon, you couldn't get much closer without falling in! We stayed overnight at the Bright Angel lodge, and was pleasantly surprised how warm and comfortable it was. We really weren't expecting too much and really expected to just use it to sleep, but we were amazed at how awesome the entrance was. In... More

A few years ago on a visit to Grand Canyon I walked by the Bright Angel Lodge rim cabins and told myself I would like to stay in one someday. Well, that day has come and gone. A 45th anniversary and 65th birthday seemed like a good time to check that item off the 'ol bucket list. We invited long... More

Was prepared for very basic accommodation based on the pictures on the Internet. While rather "rustic", the cabins were as clean and well presented as a good hotel room. Moreover, we were given two communicating cabins, which was perfect for our family of six. The "partial" nature of the view simply meant that there were some trees between us and... More

After a superbowl trip(and win), decided to stay one night on the way to Vegas and be as close to the rim as possible. Checked in like the Clark Griswold and walked out the back door around sunset and realized we are looking at natures superbowl. Literally 20 steps from the door and the canyon beckoned. The Kolb studio and... More

We ordered an Historic Cabin and that's exactly what we got. OK, it is not 5 star luxury but then it was not 5 star price either. The cabin was really beautiful, a short walk from the main complex. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The bathroom was tiny but well equipped. Wifi did not quite... More
