The location is outstanding, right on the rim. The staff were really friendly and assisted us with everything including suggestions for our visit. The check in process, though a bit long, was really smooth. The adjoining Bright Angel restaurant is splendid both for dinner and breakfast. There are water bottle refill stations around the lounge area. This is part of... More

We stayed in Bright Angel (Powell Lodge room 6141). This room (unlike some others in Bright Angel) has its own full bathroom. The bathroom was in good repair. Everything worked fine. It was clean. The room itself is a little dated and is only a double bed -- so a little tight for the two of us, but we knew... More

We stayed in a cabin, #6181, to be exact. It was pleasant with a queen bed, ceiling fan, tv, nice heating system, desk, small frig, dresser. The bed was horribly hard and my back hurt for a week after 2 nights. Other wise it was a pleasant room. I recommend an alternative way of viewing the tv due to limited... More

We had two regular cabins that happened to have canyon view and only steps away from Bright Angel trailhead (yes, we were lucky!) These are old rustic cabins, but are surprisingly comfy -- not hot even in mid August and bathrooms were updated. Even our young kids loved the place.

Stayed in one of the cabins near the rim and it was basic but the location was the most important amenity. The cabin itself had a double bed, tv, ceiling fan, refrigerator, desk and a piece of furniture for clothes. For some unknown reason I got a handicap bathroom but I think it might have been larger because of that.... More

Thank you for your comments on your stay at Bright Angel Lodge. I am sorry you found the room in less than spotless condition, and we work hard to maintain all of rooms in a clean and well maintained condition. I am sorry that you had a mouse in your room. I am glad that you let the front desk... More

Waking up on the side on the canyon was great. We are here in January, it was snowing and not many people. I would recommend this time of year. This is my first time here but it is obvious in peak season it would be a zoo here. With the discounted rates it was nice to be able to stay... More

Thank you for your comments on Bright Angel Lodge. Winter indeed is a special time at Grand Canyon! Bright Angel is a classic lodge dating to 1935, and it retains its charm today. I am glad you were able to experience it. More

Good standard rooms in lodges right on the South Rim. Wifi was patchy, but then you are not here for the rooms and wifi. The water was hot and plentiful. The cafe/ bar and restaurants were great. I suspect better value than the El Tovar and much better location and amenities than Yavapai lodges. I'd stay again.

Well I think the title says it all! We weren't staying at Bright Angel Lodge but had to have our meals there as El Tovar Restaurant is closed for renovations. I'm in the industry myself so I sometimes I am more critical of what's going on around me but come on!! None of the staff smile or even greet you... More

Thank you for your comments on the Bright Angel Restaurant. What you experienced is not our normal standard and I apologize for the poor customer service. Fred Harvey must be turning over if he reads this. I wish you had asked to see a Manager so the situation could have been rectified at the time, and we could have adjusted... More

The lodge itself has history, room was basic, but let's face it, you are not here for the room - you step outside and try and absorb the canyon. Great thing about the room location, sunset and sunrise was easy !! - We also had breakfast here (have had brekkie here before), all good. road trip 6/40

We stayed here and enjoyed the clean, warm cabins. The staff was great, everyone was helpful and full of information. The prices were reasonable for the restaurants and gift shops. This location seems more appropriate for families with children. We loved hiking the trails and paths, but there are a lot of yelling kids and, often, parents. Our cabin was... More
