Pros: accommodation just next to the rim / heating works perfectly in room / spacious room / free wifi at lobby / free parking Cons: little pricy (but that might be normal for this location) paid 100usd for standard room / no TV in room / no wifi at room / thin walls,so u r able to hear ur neighbor... We stated at the Bright Angel Lodge in November 2011. It was very cozy. We had a basic room with a bed and bathroom with no TV or Shower. My wife was skeptical. We had a blast. You are literally within 10 steps to an awesome view of the south rim. Sunrise and Sunsets were amazing. We spent much of... More

We were on a 3-week vacation and stayed in lots of motels, but this one was the most "unique". Location, location, location. It is located right on The Grand Canyon's south rim. Our room was very rustic. There was no TV. We had only a double bed ( we are used to a queen or a king) and had to... More

We stayed two nights in January, arriving the day after eight inches of snow had dumped on Grand Canyon Village. It was clear and -9C the morning we awoke, but we slept well because the cabins are well-heated and the heater in the bathroom is a force to be reckoned with. The cabins are full of character and you can't... More

Our FAVORITE choice of lodging at the Grand Canyon (south rim) is one of the historic cabins, with a RIM VIEW (important!). There are more cabins than you might realize, however many of them are clustered together around a parking lot, with no view. Our "cabin" was actually a duplex, but we never noticed our neighbors. The fireplace was a... More

My husband and I booked a cabin here, on the rim, at the end of October. The accommodations were labeled as primitive, but I thought they were great for an old cabin! The bathrooms are new and very nice, bed was comfortable, and the Grand Canyon Rim was about 50 feet from our door. Very well priced for the location... More

I would not recommend staying at this hotel to anyone! The front desk staffs were rude and not very informative or knowledgeable. They failed to tell me about any amenities and didn't even direct me to where my room was. That's the basic service of checking in any guests. The servers and bartenders were rude and crabby. She was just... More

hard for me to rate this because really the highlite is the canyon , we stayed in a little log cabin right on the South rim of the canyon and I mean close to the edge. not a place for sleepwalkers, again I will focus on the cabin,,,,,very small, clean, modern washroom and good enough for a nights stay,.Mule Deer... I spent two nights at Bright Angel lodge, just before and after riding down to the bottom of canyon with a mule trip. The BA lodge is an OK place to stay, no frills, but pretty good value. I'm on a budget and I had a double room in the larger building (not a cabin) with shared bathroom, which was... More
