This was an amazing experience. We were on honeymoon and this was trip booked for us by our travel agent, we had no idea what we were going to or what we were going to experience here. Wow what a lovely surprise!. If we could turn back time we would have stayed longer and cut short our time in Vegas.... More

This is a unique experience. It is set up largely as a stopover for Americans taking a river trip through the canyon. Arrival time is 1pm, for the stop overs. We arrived around 8.15am after being picked up from a hotel on the strip, not the one we were staying in, at 5.15am. After around 30 minutes we started our... More

First of all, anybody staying here is either adding it to a wilderness trip or doing something that is remote - so expectations need to be tempered by the fact that this ranch really IS in the middle of nowhere, meaning even simple "creature comforts" like electricity are hard-fought, and unbelievably challenging. In that, the Heatons have achieved a truly... More

We stayed for 2 nights in August, sleeping in the covered wagons, and we all loved the experience. The kids were fascinated with the wildlife and stories, and adored the cowboys and cowgirls who made everything fun. We loved the peacefulness and feeling of stepping into another world. This is a wonderful place to visit do go if you can!

We stayed at the Bar 10 an extra night after our rafting trip. It was a fun experience. I didn't know what to expect. But, it was a good transition period after 7 days of roughing it on river. The atmosphere is definitely rustic, which - I think - made it enjoyable. You felt like the staff was one big... More

We weren't sure what to expect at Bar 10, but wanted to create a memorable experience for us and our children. We stayed overnight and slept under the stars/canvas in two pioneer wagons. Contrary to the previous review, the stay exceeded our expectations on every level, the whole experience was of a superbly run family business, if you expect to... More

Wow!!! We had the completely opposite experience. The food was mediocre at best. The beds reminded me of sleeping out at Girl Scout camp. There was no attention to detail. They did not cater to individual families that paid a lot of money to be there. It was a cattle call. I would NEVER recommend Bar 10 to anyone who... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the ranch. We truly value the opinions of our customers and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations. We are disappointed that you felt that "attention to detail" was not happening on this day. We do have many people coming and going on a daily basis through the ranch, but... More

The owners of Bar 10 Ranch are intimately involved in its everyday operation. Such personalized service and deeply caring values are rare these days. I cannot recommend this organization to you highly enough. It is the perfect site for any corporate retreat, family reunion, or simply a very special and memorable vacation. Gavin Heaton is a true western gentleman. Garth,... More

Located on the north rim of the Grand Canyon 80 miles from the nearest town, Bar 10 Ranch is by far the ONLY way I would recommend someone to experience the glorius beauty of these surroundings. Our family did not have a rafting trip scheduled in our adventure. We chose to enjoy 2-3 days of horseback trail rides, ATV trips... More

We stayed at the Bar 10 as part of our Grand Canyon Rafting trip with Tour West. After a choppy flight in a light plane from Las Vegas to the ranch's own airstrip, we were met by small ATV's for the dusty ride up to the Bar 10. From lunch to our departure by helicopter early the following day it... More
