OK, the staff was kind enought to put us in two rooms with refrigerator/microwave so we could heat up leftover Chinese from Sedona. Staff is efficient but not friendly. This is a busy hotel that is not spectacular in any sense, but overall clean and seems to have acceptable accomodations. Unless you are unfortunate enough to be issued room 260, or the rooms adjacent to it. We were tired from hiking on the rim when we checked in. Decent for the price. Close to the park. Quiet and clean. Basically good if all you're interested in is a place to park your self and just get to the Canyon more

We stayed in a presidential suite that came with 2 separate rooms. One had a queen size bed and the other with a king size bed. There's also a kitchen with a refrigerator and dining table. This Holiday Inn Express is a fine place to stay for a visit to the Grand Canyon. The breakfast was unappealing. We went down the road one block to have breakfast at the Tusayan Cafe. more

I liked this hotel. It was great. I just wish I would have known to get a room in the park. It would have been a lot closer to the actual canyon. This hotel is about 7 or 8 miles from the rim. A lot of the park hotels are walking distance to the rim...for sunset it would have been great. more
