Two queens for $220 plus tax. It was on the rim and the view was okay. The beds were comfy and it is hard to beat the location. Downsides: check-in staff seemed almost annoyed when we arrived. Check-out staff was better. No ice machines!!!! At least I couldn't find them. We use about 10 pounds a day to keep our... More

Yes the lodge is expensive, yes the rooms are not super updated (but totally fine), yes there is not much parking available, BUT you are located at the rim, you can see the grand canyon from your rooom!! This was just amazing, you can walk out in the early morning look when the sun goes up with your coffee (you... More

This place is all about location, location, location. For a hotel room it is comfortable, has a fridge and I really liked the Tassimo-style single serving coffee maker in the room! Everyone could have what they wanted when they wanted it. The bathroom was quite small but the soaps, shampoos, conditioner and lotion were amazing, I loved them and I... More

Except for parking and price this room was perfect for its purpose. Park near lodge if you can. Check in is at Bright Angel down the hill next door so park and walk or you will make a circle around village getting back there. Booking company Amoma.com charged us $324 and because availability was limited we took it. Direct reservations... More

You can not sleep any closer to Grand Canyon unless you are in a tent! We walked about 20 steps to the south rim--woke up 5 minutes before to watch sunrise. Parking was a challenge, but we stayed July 4th weekend. overall a Good value. Rooms clean. Nicer than I expected.

The rooms are in a great location within the park, but they are dated. You aren't really there to stay in your room though, so for the convenience of being in the park the motel is a great option. Bed are comfortable, check in was easy (you check in next door at the Angel Bright Lodge) and rooms were clean.... More

We booked way in advance. Couldn't believe the view from the room. You are right at the rim of the canyon. A once in a lifetime view. Easy walk to restaurants and shuttle. Didn't have to use the car. Roma were spacious and clean

This hotel offeres a great location on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The room was nicely decorated compared to other national park hotels. The pump shampoo and conditioner in the shower are a pleasant scent of green tea and lemon grass. There is a flat screen tv, WiFi, and a fridge. Beautiful views, restaurants close by, close to... Alright so I read a ton of reviews while researching our lodging for the Grand Canyon. Many critical reviews of Thunderbird Lodge. Nonetheless we made our reservations there and were very happy with the accommodations. First of all it is a National Park and therefore stuck with whatever Congress approves for funding every year. In view of those hurdles I... More
