Campground is typical of a campground in the national park system. OK restrooms, no showers. 1/2 mile from Apgar Village with eatery and shopping. 1/3 mile from shuttle stop. Far enough from main road though we did hear the train whistles going through West Glacier several miles away. more
We made reservations late in July for the Hotel in Apgar village for the end of August. It was money well spent. We arrived to a scenic little village all abustle with visitors from all over. Stayed at the Apgar campground 4 nights in July '04. The campground is attractive, quiet, great access to Lake McDonald, shops at Apgar village. Teens really liked the proximity to shops/restaurants.
