Yes, Glacier is spectacular -- the Many Glacier area in particular -- and it is wonderful to stay in the park at a spot with an amazing view. We knew the rooms would not be plush -- we were prepared for this and the (extremely) limited connectivity (it would be generous to call the wifi in the lobby "spotty"). No... More

The main positive for this hotel is the view which is absolutely fabulous! However, if you must return to your room know that the hotel is "historic" and therefore does not afford the usual modern hotel comfort. The room to which we were assigned had a shared door to the bathroom which the guests next door opened. Housekeeping had forgotten... More

Based on the other reviews I won't spend time on the internet issues other than to just say if internet access and cell phone reception is important to you don't stay here. Keep in mind that this is an old hotel with no tv, phones, refrigerators, or microwaves in the rooms. You will hear the people next door and the... More

As the lobby is the only place wifi will work ("at glacial speed" as the staff like to say) it is the hub for socializing or at least looking at who else may be staying there. It boasts an enormous copper fireplace in the middle of the room which draws many people near. I was glad to have read reviews... More

This 100 year old pile of timber oozes charm. In an environment blissfully free of television, internet access and cell phone service there is ample time for lounging around the lobby fireplace, leisurely meals in the dining room, walks around the lake, relaxing boat rides from the hotel dock, spending quality family time, reading a book and sitting in the... My daughter and I stayed in a lakeview room at the Many Glacier Hotel. We looked out at the Swiftcurrent lake and mountains. The views from this hotel are breathtaking. The best time at the hotel is early morning and evening. We hope to return!

The Many Glacier Hotel is 100 yrs old this year. Lots of historical pictures in the hallways. There is an elevator. The rooms are small; no air conditioning but they do have fans. Very small shower. Dine early or wait since this is the only eating area on this side of the park!

This is a historic national park property without the frills. No television, but that is a plus for us. We stayed in a renovated room which they charge extra for. It was clean, there was an extra deep new clawfoot bathtub with a complex shower head. There were instructions on how to use it which was very helpful. There were... More

My family took a trip to Glacier and ate breakfast twice at the restaurant at the Many Glacier Hotel. All four of us had great food both mornings. My wife and son both had the Trout offering and said it was excellent.

We are an older couple (78-79) who like to hike a bit and paddle a bit. This seemed to fit the bill...great view, on a lake, lots of good trails, a good kitchen. We were on the 1st floor with twin beds, near the stairs, and could hear everyone who went up and down the stairs and hall, though It... More
