The Many Glacier Lodge sits on the edge of a beautiful lake and the balcony rooms over look the lake. Glacier National Park is a beautiful park with lots of hiking trails and scenery. The lodge/hotel is pretty typical of what I have seen at national park facitilies. The rooms are plainly furnished and bathrooms are small. Our room had... More

Beautiful hotel. The hotel is situated in the picturesque Glacier National Park. The food onsite (which is really the only place to eat unless you feel like driving 45 minutes) is fairly good. There were some odd charges that they felt like they can get away with. A natural resources charge, which was explained to me as the charge to... More

We planned a vacation to visit the HISTORIC “Grand Railroad Lodges of the Rocky Mountains”, specifically Glacier National Park, Montana and Waterton National Park and Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Please note the key word “HISTORIC”. Railroad in this vacation description means “STEAM LOCOMOTIVES”. The intent of my vacation was to visit lodges and hotels circa “EARLY 1900’s”. If you... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in late August 2014. I had booked my room in May 2013 because I wanted a lakeside view and a balcony. Yes, the rooms are rather small and rather sparse. There is no TV, no internet. I loved my balcony and spent as much time sitting on the shared balcony (three other rooms had... More

As we have come to expect from National Park lodging, it is all about location. The Many Glacier Hotel is very close to many of the trailheads on the east side of the park (short drive to Ptarmigan Iceberg, Grinnell Glacier, Swiftcurrent). We enjoyed a beer while we watched the sun set over Swiftcurrent Lake from the back deck of... More

We booked for three nights and spent almost $600 for the privilege of staying here, but got seriously screwed. The rooms are typical National Park quality, turn-of-the-century-old with one twin bed and one full bed, a sink in the bedroom and a claw foot tub/shower in the bathroom, but that wasn't the worst. You are captive when it comes to... More

I have always been reluctant to stay in a national park hotel because they always seem to be overpriced and overrated. This hotel is somewhat overpriced and somewhat overrated, but you could not find a better hotel with more spectacular views elsewhere in Glacier. The hotel seems to be nestled up close to the mountains, and the vistas in all... More

Staying at historic railway lodges is part of the experience at Glacier National Park. Ask for a room with a balcony, as the lake is gorgeous all the time, especially at sunrise. This is a convenient location on the east side of the park. As this is an old building expect a small room with a bathroom, but no TV.... More

A historic property and a majestic setting - our first time to Glacier & our 3 days here were a perfect start to our 2 week + "out west" vacation. Our first time to Glacier & we couldn't have chosen a better spot. The hotel is in a spectacular location right on the lake with the mountain views and full... More

You go to this hotel for the amazing location and views. It sits right on a beautiful lake and is located within walking distance to glacier national park's many hikes. The rooms are older and you can hear everything your neighbor does so bring ear plugs! Try for a room on the top floor and not the bottom floor. The... More
