Beautiful hotel with magnificent scenery. You are paying to be in the middle of an amazing park not a 5 star resort. You are in the middle of some of the best hikes Glacier has to offer. After a long day of hiking, grab a beer and relax by the fireplace or on the outdoor deck. With no tv's and... More

We rented a room facing the Lake, with a shared balcony. We enjoyed our stay, but it is a very old lodge and the rooms are very small. All of the inconveniences are to be expected in lodges of this age, small bathroom, no closest and no air conditioning. The first night it was very hot, so my husband took... More

We paid over $200 per night for a small two-twin bed refurbished parkside room. For the same price we could have stayed in a lake view nonrefurbished room. I had read about the rustic, bare necessity accommodations and decided we might be more comfortable in the refurbished room since we were there for three nights. That was a big mistake... More

The hotel is old and some what rustic. The view is why you go. Food and drinks are OK. . Make sure you book well in advance as the season is short and it fills up fast. We were there in August and next summer was already getting heavily booked.

Together with friends we spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel. We had some difficulties with our booking but the front of house handled the situation with pleasantness and good humour. This old world hotel is very grand and in a setting that is truly spectacular. The car park is a little distance from the hotel but luggage can be... More

This is a great location with good views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was very windy when we were there and the rooms are drafty. This is an older structure and it is in need of upgrade. The walls between rooms are not very sound absorbing.

Usually we sleep at Swiftcurrent motel but no availibility and so we took 2 rooms at MG Hotel , lake view. Rooms were on the ground floor but people are here to hike for the majority and so it is relatively quiet... We had only a problem with the ckeck in clarck. When arriving in our rooms the corridor was... More

This grand old Montana lodge is set hard on the shore of the magnificent Swiftcurrent Lake. She wears her age very well. Though rustic and not to be visited for modern amenities there is free wi-fi in the lobby, which I understand can be captured in some rooms immediately above. That lobby is wonderful with soaring ceiling and windows on... More

Yes, Many Glacier Hotel is old. And it's a bit run down in places. It can be loud and crowded, and you will have to wait in line sometimes at the front desk or to get into one of the restaurants. All of the negative comments you will read on here about conditions or noise or mediocre food are probably... More

The property is historic, so remember that when staying here. However, it's well worth it - the location, scenery and trails are amazing here. The walls and floors are thin so you hear people around you, but when you take in the location, the minor things dissolve. I would stay here again. I was planning a surprise trip for our... More
