The location of Many Glacier Hotel is superb - reason for 2 stars. Since this is only one of two places to stay in this part of the park, I recommend staying there at least once. It is a perfect location for sunrise, hiking, boating and all the things to do in Glacier National Park. However, be aware they are... More

I booked our balcony lake view room on August 1, 2014 at 7:00 am Mountain Time. Then we waited 366 days. We arrived at the Many Glacier Hotel around 4:00 pm. I dropped my wife and luggage at the door and drove up to the parking lot. Besides being hotel parking, people going on the trails and the boat tours... More

It's historic, huge, beautiful with fabulous views of the lake and mountains (depending on your room location). With that said the rooms are tiny. The baths are old claw foot tubs with complicated shower controls. No A/C, no TV, the WIFI is awful and only available in the lobby and excruciatingly slow. We had two tiny single beds. The sink... I waited for cancellations, then pounced, as I wanted to be in the National Park. I stayed for 3 nights, instead of 2, with the help of their extraordinary staff, who helped me after getting smoked out of the Rising Sun Cabins. The staff act as a cohesive and friendly team, who appear to love working here. Everything about this... More

Our family loves the old national park hotels and this was no exception. It's the quintessential Glacier experience. Sure the rooms aren't large, but they are nice and well appointed. We had everything we wanted as we hiked the area. We travelled without reservations and kept trying the website...cancellations happened every day and even on the day so we grabbed... More

I made multiple room reservations to gather for a small family reunion and enjoy the mountain hiking. The reservations were made a few days after the opening day to book for August 2015 and by then no lake side views were available. Our rooms overlooked the mountain side or parking lot. Bell hops hauled our luggage and coolers to the... More

I would agree with several of the reviews of this hotel. The location is stunning and the hotel has retained a lot of its historic features. The rooms are "charming" but not at all luxurious by today's standards. The food in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner was average and, in my opinion, overpriced. The public areas were great... More

we made our reservations 2 years in advance and had wonderful views of the lake and glaciers from a shared balcony. it was amazing sitting there in the morning looking at all of Gods beauty! As for the hotel the rooms were comfortable nothing fancy, in fact our room had twin beds and when you sat on one side of... More

Staying in this hotel is about wanting to be in the park, & enjoying this historic charming hotel. The rooms or one we were in was simple, perhaps considered luxurious in its time, today I would call it more charming. When standing on the back deck of the hotel or outside on the ground the view is just magnificent. There... More

1. We made reservations for Many Glacier months in advance. We had to get four different rooms over an 7 night stay. 2. My neighbor reserved his room on August 1, 2014, but could not get a lake view room, which went in the first hours for the month on Xanterra web site . He got a park view room... More
