We spent one night here on the way out of Kantishna to Anchorage, stopping at the Riley Creek Mercantile Center laundromat to do laundry ($2 wash/$2 dry -- about 30 minutes each.) The "shuttle" service is a bit confusing. There is a phone on the wall of the Wilderness Access Center (different from the Mercantile Center) and you can directly... More

Stayed 2 nights at Denali Salmon Bake Cabin. You will need to walk up a steep slope to get to the cabins. As it was summer, the hours of sunlight was long and we had a hard time trying to sleep as the curtains were rather "see through". Service was not too friendly. The restaurant has good food though.

The PROS: I can't say enough about the courtesy and professionalism of every staff member we came in contact with. The restaurant was superb, the packed box lunch for a Denali trip was reasonably priced and of good quality and ready for us before we left. There are at least 3 different types of cabins here, know what you are... More

We recently stayed in the standard cabins at the salmon bake. The accommodation was two double beds, plenty of drawer space, an en suite bathroom, and for some reason a kettle. Apart from the kettle there was nothing to allow you to make either tea or coffee, and on enquiry no member of staff was able to either give or... More

Do yourself a favor. If there is live music, go elsewhere. The only thing worse than a sound guy who has no idea what he is doing is a sound guy that thinks the only way to make awful sound better is to make it insanely loud. I've never seen bands on stage give a sound guy more dirty looks... More

We have just spent two nights here in the one bedroom apartment above liquor store. I was worried after reading previous reviews about the facility but the apartment was well presented and clean. As we were two couples travelling we had a choice of two sofa beds in lounge room or spare mattress which we used. This was a comfortable... More

We stayed in the budget cabins. 2 double beds in a cabin, and shared facilities along the verandah. The cabins were clean and cosy, and the facilites clean. Everything worked, and we had everything we needed. Had to move around outside to get a sufficient signal for the wifi, but that proabably just depends on which cabin you are in.... More

We drove here in our rental car, arriving around 4pm. The desk person showed us where to park up on the hill; no problem. The cabin was cozy and clean. The beds & pillows were very comfortable, premium high-thread sheets. Soap, shampoo, & lotion were provided. The towels were good. Shower stall is small, but worked for us. Heater worked... More

My family just stayed at the Denali Salmon Bake Cabins. We were so disappointed! The location to the park is great, but that is all that is great about this place. We were expecting a cabin, not a shack hanging off the side of a hill! First of all, there is no decent parking up this huge gravel hill. We had... More

O.K. - There are a lot of bad reviews of this place. Six of us rented 3 of the "dry" cabins where you have to go to a different shared bathroom/shower. But - it was only $69 a night! Each cabin had 2 double beds, the heaters worked fine (September) and it was kind of like camping in the park... More
