If you want to hang with the locals, and enjoy adventure on a budget- Denali Salmon Bake Cabins are awesome! Clean and cozy, each cabin feels like camping- with the added comfort of heat and comfy beds! And you can't beat the convenience of having the world famous food and beer just down the hill at the restaurant. I dream... More

You can’t beat the location, their van picked us up at the train station and 5 minutes later we were comfortably in our room (one of the cabins with private bath). It’s right on the border of the national park. You can walk to everything and there’s a great restaurant on property and a store nearby to get snacks and... More

We traveled to Denali on a budget & this was perfect for us. Clean and affordable rooms. We went for the dry cabins with shared restrooms. They were only $74 a night. They did offer rooms with private restrooms. But we wanted to save the money on going out & going to the park. We did ask for extra pillows... More

One of the most interesting places my family has stayed over the years was a tent cabin camp. We stayed at Denali Park Salmon Bake almost 20 years ago and I am pleased to see things have not changed a bit. We were provided clean basic accomodations in a tent-like cabin, giving us a fun Alaska experience. The beds actually... More

Stayed in an economy cabin, basically a big styrofoam box. It was clean and quiet and the bathroom was just OK. They provided transportation from the train station, and the staff were helpful in making a tour reservation. Convenient to Denali. Would stay there again. Did not eat there (ate at Subway nearby).

My wife and I booked an economy cabin. It looks like a tent from outside, but it's much better inside. Warm, clean and convenient to use shared bathroom. Only thing we don't like is a little noisy in the morning, but no one will get up late there.

I thought the accomodations at this place were quaint and enjoyed staying in the tent cabin with my kids. The separate bathroom was not a problem. The only bad thing is that when the employees get off of work (2 or later in the morning) they all party loudly right behind the cabins. So if you do go, either join... More

We stayed here in 1990, again in 2008, and again in 2011. Our 2008 review (http://bit.ly/nHfdIz) still seems accurate, less the two complimentary bottles of water (which were unnecessary anyhow). We encountered less late-night noise this time and slept well in the pitch-dark cabins. Check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly, and reserving our cabin via their website was easy.... More

I booked a cabin with private bathroom at the Salmon Bake and I found it to be an excellent place to stay - no problems with electricity, bathroom availability etc. It was a little bare bones and noisy but it was also kind of cool. It was a bit of a young person's place with many young travellers from the... More

After looking at other hotels in the Denali area, we ended up choosing the Salmon Bake based on their economical rates, thankfully we were well prepared by other traveler's comments. We stayed in a cabin with a shared bathroom. The cabin was very clean and quiet, however, the bathrooms were a little far away and could use a good cleaning... More
