We reserved two nights at Riley Creek for our 32' RV. There are no hookups available and the generator can only be run twice a day. There is fresh water fill and a dump station as you leave or enter the campground. The sites are large with a nice firepit. We stayed in site #7 which was convenient to the... More

We reserved the site at the Tek Campground, the farthest into the park you can go with an RV, early in the year. We built our August trip to Alaska around the reservation at Denali campground. I think an RV camper would be happy with Tek or with Savage River. We preferred Tek because it was so quiet, but Savage River... More

We booked a four night stay well in advance. We knew we were dry camping and that we would have to monitor our water usage, use their dump facility or use the park bath facilities, and generate our own power. The surprise came when we arrived to find there was no water available, and all their bathrooms were closed as... More

Denali National Park is the biggest tourist trap my entire party and I have ever experienced. There is no way into the park, unless you pay for the bus or tour which is 30 to 200+$ on top of the 10$ a person park pass. Even if you fork out the money for the shuttle or tour it will take... More

In August 2011 we rented our first RV and spent 3 nights in Teklanika, the furthest in campground for RVs. Aware that one cannot drive the RV in and out once the park has been entered and not being confident about RV water usage when there were no hookups (this being our first night ever in an RV!), we were... The campground is located at Mile 13 of Park Rd. It is in nicely wooded area and you have sufficient privacy from your neighbors. A short walk down a well-maintained gravel path leads to the river and beautiful views of the mountains. Apparently, on clear days, you can see Mt McKinley from here but there overcast the day we were... More

We've visited Denali a handful of times over the years. Riley Creek Campground has been one of my favorite spots to camp. You can hear the river flowing and it's very peaceful. It's not far from the old visitor's center, where they have the bus tour depot now. Across the road from the old visitor's center is a newer store... More

We arrive at the campground without reservations. We were lucky and got a great camp site. By late morning the campground was full. the campground as restrooms conveniently located throughout the park. They also have showers available for a fee of $4.00 at the camp store. Camping included a shuttle that stops at different spots in the park. On our... More

We stopped at Riley's campgrounds to fill our fresh water, dump grey and black water before heading to the Teklanika River Campground. We walked around the campgrounds before moving on and they seem like nice sites but alot of road noise. We also stopped to check in as required and payed $10 each to go into the park, was surprised... More

Had a grest experience at the Riley Creek Campground. The grounds - including the copious flush toilets - were beautifully kept. Showers are $4 for a hot unmetered wash with towel included. Strong wifi signal at the registration area. Modern facilities and a great place to walk or shuttle bus to other attractions.
