We stayed in a cabin with a private bathroom and it was just fine. The cabin was clean enough, but certainly nothing great. It was a fine place to stay for the price and location. Our shower was not working when we arrived, but they did come and fix it promptly once we notified them.

The Grizzly Bear hotel and campground is a decent place to stay but thats about it. You have to cross a major highway to get to another hotel compound in order to go to an overpriced restaurant and tourist trap shops. At least across the highway there was someplace to sit down and enjoy a meal! You can't do that... More

All in all, a horrible experience that was completely dismissed by the staff. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms 8/27, checking out 8/28. The accommodations were subpar for the price, but we expected some of that. Unfortunately, we were completely frightened out of a night's sleep due to an extremely aggressive staff member (presumably housekeeping?) that began banging... More

The only thing premium in a premium cabin is the price. I wasn't expecting a luxurious hotel, but when amenities are advertised they should be more than just serviceable. I suspect the lodge rooms are lovely. To reaffirm prior reviews cabins are cramped, mattress was sagging, took a long time for water to become hot. In addition, tv reception was... More

Two night stay in Grizzly Bear Lodge in one of the newly renovated hotel rooms. This was the land tour accommodations that was part of the Norwegian Denali Express cruise and land tour. The guide told us to expect "rustic" accommodations but we thought they were very good. Large clean king bed room with big flat screen TV and deck... More

they don't take RV reservations so you get what ever is open. Most of them are out by the highway...so lots of road noise. I guess if you want to stay in the ones by the water you have to be there at the right time. The big issue for me was the showers...$0.75 for a 2 min shower...really!!!

We stayed in a "Premium Cabin". They are named - we stayed in "Naturalist". It is on the river but the view is obscured by trees. Everything about it was small except for the price. The deck was small, bathroom really small - you had to stand in one place to get dressed - the shower being behind you and... More

We stayed in the hotel section of the Grizzly Bear on a pre-cruise trip. The hotel units are new and I have no complaints. Each room has a balcony overlooking the river. We hiked the 3 Lakes trail which started right off of the main road. It was a great trail. To eat, you need to cross the main highway... More

We stayed in a cabin called 'Ranger'. Some pictures show TV's. This is deceptive. No TV, but then we didn't go there for TV. Plenty of noise from the highway. Temperature was in 70's and the cabin was warm, so it was necessary to open the (screened) windows. Helped, but no fan and plenty of noise. One mirror above sink... More

I came here on an escorted guided tour with no choice. When we were told this was where we were going to stay, and researched the place on Google and I was "concerned". I'm ex-military and usually put up with a lot of stuff and have patience...but.....I have my limits. There is NO onsite restaurant. This is a combination RV... More
