If I owned such a beautiful piece of property on a creek near Denali, I think I would try a little harder to add some charm to the cabins. The cabins, for the most part, are fairly attractive on the outside. Inside, they are tired, inconvenient, crowded, and not that clean (there was a dried up French fry just under... More

We are sorry to hear you did not find the private bath cabin to your liking. We try to be very descriptive and explain those are the historic cabins built in the early 1960's. The private bath cabins have been kept as original as possible on purpose to offer guests a true Alaskan experience. When lands were originally homesteaded cabins... More

NO TV, no microwave, no breakfast, but a great bed!! You need a car to get here from the train station. We ate meals at Denali Village Lodge, a fancy hotel near by. Carlo Creek Lodge is on a fairly large property with a rushing river right in back, and could accommodate large school groups or groups of backpackers with... More

My family stayed at Carlo Creek cabins 8/14 following a 7day cruise. It was such a delight to see the wooded 14 acres creek side and the adorable cabins. Total quiet and peace in a beautiful surrounding. The staff was friendly and wonderful. The restaurant across the street-Perch resort restaurant was more than we expected in the wilderness. The chef... More

We stayed in Cabin T which used a shared bathroom facility. The cabin was very cute, although there was a small space where the door did not shut perfectly tight and mosquitos could come in; this was fixed by putting a fleece over the opening. The shared bathroom facility was very clean and spacious, one shower house with four rooms... More

We stayed in one of the lodge rooms. They were lovely and clean and fairly close to the park entrance making it very convenient. But I was glad we only stayed a night as the walls are super thin and you can hear people in the rooms next to you talking, snoring and moving about. Still it was a good... More

We stayed in cabin 2 one night, it had the necessities and we have no complaints. It's a good price, and maybe 20 mins away from Denali's park gates. It has wi-fi, although at cabin 2 it's hit or miss since it's a bit further away from the office. No breakfast at this one- but stop at the Perch across... More

My daughter and I stayed here three nights in Cabin #5 in July. The furnishings are basic, but you do have a refrigerator and microwave and coffee is available in the office. Staff was very nice and helpful. Wi-fi was a little weak, and we were near the office. We had a bathroom in our cabin, but it had the... More

We stayed in cabin 5 for one night in July. The cabin was okay--the beds were reasonably comfortable and the bathroom was okay, although the shower was very small. But the log walls were dusty, the carpet was dirty (especially under the beds), and there was lots of visible fiberglass insulation in all the cracks between the logs. We paid... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. Just two of us and we rented Cabin #5. The staff was friendly, the beds were made daily, and it was quite comfortable. It's about 15 miles from Denali NP but we saw wildlife each day on the way to and from the Park. Our cabin was also quiet...important for us! There... More

My sister and I stayed here 2 nights and we were not impressed. The cottage is mediocre at best. First day we arrived and when we opened the door the smell of butane about knocked us over. I had to go to the office and request that they send someone down to look at it as there was no way... More
