Yes, the Perch Resort is a little rustic and you might get a mosquito or two in your room, but you're in Alaska; you wouldn't want it any other way, would you? The cabins are all unique and cozy. Everything is tucked back in the woods off the highway and a babbling river runs nearby, no matter which part of... More

This is a family owed business which is much better option than the cruise line owned resorts. This small resort gives you the really Alaska experience either is cabin with a bath or cabins that share a bath house. We stayed in both before and after or Denali camping trip. I liked the cabin near the creek (cabin 2) that... More

The Perch cabins and restaurants were perfect for our Denali visit. My husband and I disembarked from a luxury cruise and wanted a contrast for visiting Denali National Park. We stayed in Cabin 8 with a private bath and it was just what we needed to spread out, repack for the park visit and shift gears. Having the two restaurants... More

The staff and owners were so accomodating. Although the lodging is a little far from the park, they picked me up at the train station, took my luggage so I could stay at the park, and took me where ever I needed to go. You could hear the river during the night up in the loft. The lofts would be... More

I reserved 2 private cabins for 7/18. Having a bathroom is important to me & worth the extra $50 for the night. When we arrived the young man said that someone had damaged one of the cabins & they hadn't had time to fix it therefore we could have one private cabin but the other one would have to be... More

The Perch Resort turned out to be a great choice. Our cabin was basic, but clean and comfortable. My daughter thought the loft was cool. A mountain stream ran right past our cabin, and provided a soothing sound. I especially liked the pizza place that is part of the premises. It had a mix of locals and tourists, and the... More

SERVICE: The family that runs this place does a great job. They were all attentative and helpful. CABIN: Our cabin suited our needs just fine. We had loft style cabin with small private bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). There was one queen bed (which we used), a single loft bed, and a single bed next to big bed. The shower water... More

The Perch has had mixed reviews in the past. Ignore them. The next generation has taken over and they are eager for you to love Denali as they do. Let's be honest about what they offer so that those expecting Hilton in the Hills can clear out. The cabins are tastefully decorated with handmade quilts and pillows; the beds are... More

The area is just outside the park and makes for a fantastic illusion that you might be the only people there to explore the area. The cabins are basic clean and cozy. The young couple that checked me in was very helpful and sweet. Great coffee and the views were AMAZING!! Also you must not miss dinner! Go up and... More

We were disappointed in lack of black out shades, and rustic in the extreme. OK for a fisherman, but not for the casual tourist. We would avoid this spot in the future. We stayed in many spots in Alaska on our trip from Denmark, and this was the poorest.
