Very difficult to rate this facility. Our cabin was tiny with barely room for a bed and shower (and it had another single bed above on a mezzanine style floor, reached by a fixed step ladder) so it's useful having the car parked only a few feet away so that most items can be left in the vehicle. Despite the... More

We rented one of the cabins at this resort. While small, it was well appointed and had fine amenities. (Other than the Denali Princess up the road, you cannot expect a four or five star hotel in this area.) The wifi signal was amazingly strong and much better than at the McKinley Princess Lodge an hour south. The couple that... More

Trying to see Alaska on a budget so booked 2 nights at The Perch in cabin 12 with private bath. The cabin was so cute and quaint! It's small, but that adds to its charm. A double bed and a loft with a twin bed. Love the location near many good restaurants, yet nestled in the woods. 15 minutes to... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Perch! The food is amazing and The Perch restaurant has a breathtaking view of the wilderness. The cabins are clean, cozy, and had a friendly staff. We will be staying there again!

We had read other reviews about the perch and were a little skeptical, but were very impressed with the view we had from our cabin. The cabin (we had cabin 5) didn't have much in it except for a couple beds and a heater, but, it was clean and just a short distance walk from the bathrooms. We were also... More

My family returned to the perch for a second year in June and we had another excellent stay in the cabins with shared bath. We like the cabins along the creek, sound of water is very restful. The resort location in only about 10-15 mins from the Denali park front gate. Both their restaurant and the pizza parlor were very... More

We used to camp and backpack a lot and this was a nice compromise. Could sit on the front porch and enjoy the outdoors but didn't have all of the trouble of dealing with a tent in the rain, etc.. Great restaurant up the hill. Really enjoyed the hosts and the cute cabin.

We LOVED our stay in a private cabin at the Perch. We had a private bathroom which made our experience even better. The bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. We drove the 11 miles to the Park entrance twice. The restaurant on the property seemed lovely and smelled great. We ate at the pizza place just off... More

The price of the Perch Resort was definitely right and the proprietors are lovely; so amiable and helpful! The moose "guides" lead you from the highway to the restaurant/office which has a lovely view and simple charm. Josh and his wife couldn't be more accommodating and willing to meet whatever need you may have. We didn't eat in the restaurant,... More
