Maybe the hotel is nicer ...? The cabins don't have a refrigerator, only have one chair (tight for two) and lighting is nonexistent. You can hear each car cross the bridge and the wash basin is tiny. They are cute from the outside and we are right on the river but it is way over-priced for all the shortcomings. The... More

Nice cabin, but with a very small bed (and sheets&blankets) and very tiny shower. Riverfront is the best option, the others cabins are very close to one another, you have to keep the curtains closed. When cars pass over the nearby bridge it´s a very noisy smack each time (especially at night). The restaurant wasn´t that cosy, but the food... More

I realize Alaska is expensive but the quality of this hotel for the price was terrible! The beds were poor and some intermittent noise within the building kept me awake most of the night. I can't speak poorly enough of the food! I ordered a Cobb salad and the turkey, ham, and cheese were in a roll and sliced. Felt... More

Stayed here in September. Rooms were spacious and clean. Dining was basic but ok, not too far out of Denali town, but has a shuttle bus to the town and into the National Park. would stay there again. Staff were friendly and they have a nice gift shop and restaurant acing the river, with a great view.

I tried to avoid staying here since it had some bad reviews but everywhere else was booked when my girlfriend and I went. At least for us, this place was not as bad as we thought and was pretty much what we expected. If you are looking to stay at a Resort with a fancy lodge and lots of tours... More

My husband and I vacationed in Alaska in July/August, and due to an itinerary change found ourselves stuck in Denali. The River Cabins was available, so we grabbed on night before we switched over to the Princess (which by the way, is fabulous). I hate to write a review like this, because this is clearly a locally owned and possibly... More

Front desk staff not friendly or helpful at all. Stayed here for 2 nights the last week of August. Had a lodge room on the 2nd floor. Room was fairly large and clean. No microwave, refrigerator or even a coffee pot. Felt lucky to have the hairdryer. :) Beds were quite uncomfortable. No one got a good night sleep the... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Denali River Cabins. The first time we stayed in one of the cabins, but they close early in September. We stayed in the Cedars lodge associated with the River Cabins. The rooms are spacious and clean. Since you are really not in your room for any length of time while... More

We stayed in the lodge, not the river cabins. The room was large and clean. We requested a ground floor room and that is what we received. The staff were very helpful with information and when we needed to contact a tour operator in Denali. Not a perfect rating because the beds were not as comfortable as they could have... More

We reserved a handicapped room in advance bc this is what we needed. When we arrived, I was told that they actually gave all the handicap rooms away. Without the ability to get a refund we had to make do in another room, although it was pretty challenging. And on top of this they didn't bother to clean the rooms... More
