I am so glad we booked a stay at the Denali Mountain Morning hostel when we visited Denali National Park. The creek is lovely, the place is very well run and maintained beautifully and I would go back in a heartbeat. i especially appreciated the large, attractive kitchen with clean refrigerator to share considering the poor and expensive restaurant offerings... Stayed in the Octogon room for two nights. Cute room with a comfortable bed and bunk. Small deck was great for sitting and writing in my journal while my husband slept. Shared bathroom was never busy and very spacious and clean. There are only two rooms upstairs...the other is a women's bunk room, I think. The main room with kitchen... More

This hostel is a great option for someone who needs a place to stay for a night before venturing into Denali Natl Park. The price is very reasonable, clean and the perfect place if your looking for a no frills place to lay your head before/after amazing experience in the park.

While searching locations to stay away from the park, the Denali Mountain Morning Hostel came to the front. We carefully read all of the information on their site and knew what the options were. The one thing that was not described was the beautiful location. We stayed in both a private cabin and the co-ed dorm. Both locations were very... More

As frequent campers who didn't feel like lugging an extra bag all the way to Alaska, we stayed in a lot of cabins/hostels, etc. on our trip, but this one was the worst. It's not that it was bad, but it was perhaps the most over-priced part of our trip! We've no problem spending $20 for a campsite and pit... More

OUCH! This review is NOT the kind of thing I want to see! After reading it I immediately checked all the bathrooms and showers to find the filth, mold and mildew you wrote of and came up empty. I checked the cabins and bunk cabins and nothing. I don't know who the writer is, so please contact me at stay@hostelalaska.com.... More

This place was just right for us. We were looking for a place to stay near Denali that wasn't snooty and overpriced like many of the places close to the park, and this place is a clear winner. We stayed in a canvas tent by the river and were worried we would get chilly, but the sleeping bags they provide... More

The cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. Staff works hard to keep hostel clean and it shows. Staff is very efficient and helps with all reservations in and around Denali. Have free shuttle running several time each day to Denali Park. Liz, Ali, Sarah and Bill are great hosts. Main area has excellent kitchen facilities and comfortable furniture. Highly... More

Staying at this place changed my life. Great access to the national park, and a fantastic pizza place across the street. I stayed for seven days, and wish I could have stayed longer. Enjoy it!

Clean cabins, creek to have campfires by and a communal kitchen for packing lunches to take into Denali are all benefits of this comfortable lodging. After a long day of hiking walk across the highway for some pizza or other choices at convenient restaurants.

Having arrived in Denali with no reservations and 3 solo days to fill, a hostel was exactly the place I needed. Luckily the Denali Mountain Morning Hostel and Lodge was more than I could have expected: 1. The staff was amazing. Both Ali and Sarah were able to help schedule last second transport to and from Anchorage, provided great suggestions... More
