This lodge, almost at the end of the Denali Park road, offers an amazing experience in the middle of the Denali wilderness. Your trip starts with a 7-hour bus ride from the Denali RR station. It seems insane that the 90-mile ride takes so long, but there are frequent rest and wildlife-viewing stops, as well as a stop for a... More

Stay here and hope you get a clear day! Even without seeing the mountains the daily guided hikes and excellent food make North Face Lodge a special place. Staying near the end of the road is an amazing experience. Spend a minimum of 4 days and 7 if you can. For an experience unlike any other, pick North Face Lodge.

North Face Lodge is expensive, but definitely worth it. The costs includes a bus ride into the park (and back) to almost the end of the road, about 6-7 hours, with wild life viewing (we saw moose, bears, caribou, a fox, a marmot, pika and many birds) and lots of information provided along the way; three healthy and delicious meals... This place is like an awesome camp for adults (or actually anyone). With only 17 rooms, the number of people are limited. The camp picks everyone up from the train depot at Denali in a large comfortable bus. You travel by bus into the lodge (90 miles total), they stop for wild life viewing and they put on an amazing... We had a wonderful stay at North Face Lodge. The food was very good and the staff terrific in just about every way. We did the three-day visit but wished we could have stayed longer. The bus ride in and out is a long one, but we saw so much wildlife and spectacular scenery that the time went by quickly.... More

First a little review, there are only 3 properties where you can stay in the park. All 3 are at the end of the 90 mile road into the park. Both Kantishna Road House and Denali Back Country Lodge allow you to come and go on any day you wish and allow you to stay for what ever number of... More

A terrific experience in a great national park. Denali is iconic, and this is the way to see it. We did get to see the mountain each of our four days--at least once. The lodge is very well-run. The rooms are fine (if you want a great view, you need to accept the outhouses up at Camp Denali). The staff... More

My wife and I spent three nights at this outstanding lodge in Denali National Park as part of our 16 day Alaska vacation. We do not have enough good things to say about the North Face Lodge. It made our stay in Denali fantastic. The Lodge is one of only four lodges this deep inside the Park. The lodge is... More

North Face Lodge is a magical place. 90 miles or so into Denali and you feel privileged to stay there. The rooms are sparkling clean with comfortable beds and a private bathroom and plenty of hot water for showers. The food is excellent and served in the dining room at communal tables. The outings, as stated in other reviews are... More

If you want to stay in the heart of Denali National Park with - on a good day - stunning views of Mt McKinley, close proximity to Wonder Lake and the beautiful sub-artic tundra you can’t look past Denali North Face Lodge. We spent three nights there and loved it. The North Face shuttle brings people from the train station... More
