Very nice and comfortable in a quiet and unique location. Nice accommodation and great restaurants with fantastic salmon and King crab legs!!! From there we took a full day trip to Mount McKingsley where the nature (tundra and taiga) is particular and very different from what we are used to see in our daily life. We saw wildlife animals in... More

This is not the place to go shopping for bargains, but if you find that your coat is not quite as warm as you need, or you need gloves and a hat (left back home). They have a number of places that can help you fix that shortfall.

I loved staying at Denali Park Village! I spent a few days here and had just the best time. My room was clean and comfortable, nice accommodations, and I had a gorgeous view of the river. The halibut at the restaurant in the main lobby is AMAZING! I ate the halibut three times while I was there. I would love... More

Was drawn for the Denali Road Lottery and this was one of very few hotels outside the park still open and accepting guests. Rooms are clean and spacious in a dormitory/campus arrangement. This late in the season though (mid September), they were in the process of closing up for winter. Staff minimal and restaurants menu shrank by the hour as... More

We stayed at Denali Park Village after a day tour of Denali National Park. The rooms were very simple, but clean and comfortable. The surrounding area right near the lodge is very scenic, offering beautiful views of mountains, and a river runs right behind the lodge where you can take a nice hike. There is a patio viewing deck and... More

We stayed at Denali Park Village during a 10 day, self guided tour of Alaska. The facility is just outside of the Park boundary and provides easy access to all area attractions. The facility as a whole is typical Alaskan. Rocky terrain (although they try to grow grass), pine and aspen trees and always within earshot of the river which... More

I picked this location because I had heard "Glitter Gulch" nearer the park entrance was a nightmare. It is just a strip of shops, restaurants and hotels but the options there looked better than this "village" of disgruntled employees and poorly built, buildings. The customer service was abysmal. We were there two nights and could never get our room warm... More

WE went looking for dinner, and the entire population of tourists seemed to doing the same thing. We had a short wait to get a cramped table. Service was quick, but not friendly. Not enough wait staff had them running. Menu seemed small, food was just so-so, and price was high. I'd call it a poor value.

Stayed here 3 nights in September while road construction was underway. Made for terrible shuttle service because there was no schedule. Wish we got a "heads up" about that at check-in. Train shuttle was reliable, however. Property is away from Glitter Gulch but without a car, feels isolated. Room in bldg. 700 was very nice, though view of parking lot... More
