Stayed here near the end of the season. In some ways, the facility was disappointing. The room was small, it only had a double bed (why not a queen or king) and while the room was clean, the wooden window blinds had a layer of dust on them and looked like they hadn't been cleaned all season. These negatives irritated... More

We were 2 in a room with 2 big beds for 462$ for 2 nights. The room is of good standard, comfortable beds, good and clean bathroom. Well it's worth the price I suppose. But the thing is that you don't really have much choice there. There were no rooms for 2 only since this one appears to be for... More

I stayed in a newer part of the park called "Miners Park". It was what you would expect from national park lodgings, basic and simple. It's a good place to stay while you enjoy all that is Denali. We were next to a restaurant which was quite adequate for food. As it did not stay open late there was no... More

It appears that this place is more interested in aesthetic appeal than comfort for weary travelers. The rooms are very dark, even in the daylight. There was 1 small bar of soap to share between two people for two days. The beds are short in length. The shower curtain liner was a flimsy, decorative shower curtain. Poor constructive workmanship. The cabins were very small. We had to wait for twenty minutes while the staff prepared the room. The lighting was poor in the cabins. It rained the entire night which didn't help. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and it was okay. The pro: nice gift shop..

Felt like cattle being herded. No real personality to the place. Kitschy, cheap but expensive. Restaurants close before it gets dark? One room not vacated by previous customer? Had two rooms, both end units right by the bus drop-off and pick-up so the mornings started at 0630 with staff pulling luggage on the stamped concrete walkways; "clack-clack-clack-clack-clack", followed by a... We only ate here but the food was varied and the setting was fantastic. There is a "pub" menu and a regular more upscale menu. Both are offered in the dining room. The dining room was next to a big wide deck that overlooked a madly rushing river. Also, there is a really nice gift shop with well informed cashiers.

We spent one night here after our scenic train ride from Anchorage as part of our Celebrity Cruise Line land tour. We found it to be just as we expected for staying in a National Park - if it was less rustic, I would have been disappointed! The cabin was modern, clean, and comfortable although the lighting could have been... More

The buildings are well taken care of, the rooms clean and average. Attractive lobby area that invites seating around the fireplace and a very nice gift shop.Transportation is needed to get to and from Denali Park and the area down the road where most of the shopping and restaurants are located. The hotel does provide a free shuttle, but still not... We had a large group stay at Denali Park Village and was, to say the least, terribly disappointed. No one in our group was happy with the rooms. We stayed in the multi-unit buildings. The beds were awful, worse than Motel 6. When we complained to the front desk we were told that they were new beds. Don't think so!... More
