The facilities were very nice, and the staff was very courteous. The rooms were nice and spacious, facilities were very clean and close to the national Park. There was convenient transportation to and from local areas available and ample parking for rental cars

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Celebrity Cruise Tour. Were told that these cabins were an upgrade. Stayed the first night, shivering the whole time. As others have noted, very dim . Not enough lighting to even see into our suitcase! Very cold at night . No room to move around. Bathroom so small and freezing. The... More

We spent 3 days here in August 2014. We were in a "cabin", not the main lodge area. It is an area set off from the main area near the river. While having your own cabin would seem nice, the common walk ways that connect all the cabins transmit every foot step. When people are rolling their luggage on the... More

We spent three nights in August. Our room was right on the river in bldg. 500, we opened the windows to hear it flowing and it was delightful. The hotel is in a great spot for all activities in the area and the staff is eager to help. Things run timely and there is little waiting around. The food is... More

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Denali. We agree that our staff is one of our best assets. They have a true love of Denali and showing our guests a great time. Our location on the rushing Nenana River is also a major plus. There are seating areas and fire pits all along the river... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a land-sea tour. It's an okay facility but if you don't have activities scheduled, there's nothing to do. There is a shuttle to the National Park Visitor's Center and the Wilderness Center. We took the Denali Wilderness tour and visited the Husky Homestead. The resort should have a regularly scheduled shuttle to... More

This is a property that is right on the river...really beautiful. There is a restaurant with outdoor seating that is lovely. The rooms can be hit or miss. When we first arrived we were in a room that was overlooking a parking lot with a lot of traffic. Since the rooms are not air conditioned it would be very loud... More

We actually never had a chance to stay here because they pulled a fast one on us. We planned on staying here in July 2014 and had booked it at least 3 months prior. Our Alaska trip began on June 24th and we stayed at 8 hotels in 12 days and on July 1st we were scheduled to stay here,... More

We want to apologize for the overbooking situation. Unfortunately, every hotel in Denali overbooks a couple of times each season. We sometimes wait to inform the guests as there are often last minute cancellations. I am sorry that the Princess Lodge wasn't adequate. Again, sorry for the inconvenience and we hope you enjoyed your trip overall. Jeff - Operations Manager More

We spent two nights at McKinley Village Lodge as part of an Alaska Railroad tour. The village was somewhat remote from the other things at the entrance to Denali, but there was a shuttle that operated well. The rooms were just basic motel style and there was no view here. Food was good but very pricy, even by Alaska standards.... More

Arrived there when it was raining. Never stopped. Room overlooked the river which was in full flow. Lovely view. Room warm, clean and very comfortable. Lounge / reception area good and staff friendly. Service at the coffee counter good.

Wonderful rooms and friendly staff. Loved the fire pits on the cool evenings with a brandy and a cigar. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Laundry room in each building. Meal prices are RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. Great gift shop. Avoid the dinner theatre, food was served family style with one bowl of entree per table of twelve and it took forever... More

Thank you for reviewing our hotel and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Brandy and cigar at the fire pits is a great way to spend the evening for sure! That entire area is new this year and we are happy to see that you enjoyed it. Jeff - Operations Manager More
