Our family of four stayed at the Chalet. The staff in the lobby, restaurant, snack bar and gift shop were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The main bedroom had a twin bed that our son took and a full size bed that I shared with my husband. Our daughter slept int the "living room" on a pull out (not... More

We stayed at the Chalet for 3 nights in early June 2013 as part of the land portion of our Holland America Cruise Tour. This hotel is pretty basic in terms of rooms. The mattresses were not great and the linens were pretty basic and nothing fancy. We were assigned (despite having requested one big bed, K or Q) a... More

This hotel was booked as part of our tour with Holland America. We stayed in the Canyon Lodge on the 3rd floor for two nights and were very happy with our room and the Chalet. There is a short walk up a semi-steep hill to the main lobby or you can wait for the shuttle bus that comes by every... More

If you are looking for a 5-star hotel with chocolates on your pillow, go to New York City. This is a wilderness lodge in the middle of Denali National Preserve. It is lovely and clean. The beauty is outdoors. Our front door (building F) opened to the Nenana River below where we watched a mother moose and her two newborn... More

My husband and I and several friends just stayed on this property as part of a Holland America tour package. As others have noted, the place is pretty rustic. There is absolutely nothing fancy about the rooms. Our initial room assignment put us in a building far distant from the main building. To get anywhere required waiting for a shuttle... More

Reminded me of summer camp! We were on the second floor (stairs only!) of an older building with about 20 units total, next to similar buildings in a forested area with no view to speak of (we were in building O). There appeared to be a variety of accommodation types, we had what I believe is a basic room -... More

Stayed here as part of our Holland America Cruise to Alaska. Very disappointed that Holland America would have a place like this considering how great the ship was. The room we had was very basic and rustic. There was paint peeling from the ceilings and the beds were average at best. What was also bad was the housekeeping. My sheets... More

For the location a very nice place to stay. Clean, quite, large room, and plenty of hot water. Very good on ground shuttle service. Has a good walking trail around the grounds. The Cabin Night Theater on was just a short distance from our room/lodge. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

We spent two nights at this property in May 2013, and were very disappointed. Our room, actually two rooms, each with a double bed, were in the lower portion of the resort. The linen on both beds was ill fitting, i.e., the fitted sheets were too small, and everything was of very low quality. We had a roof leak in... More

Overall it was excellent. One of the warmest summer's in history so the rooms were a little warm, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, to many excursions to go on. The rooms are roomy and set up very nicely.
