Was very pleased with the accommodations. Plenty of shuttle service and a really nice place to walk around and take in the scenes. Enjoyed the sounds of the river at night. Really enjoyed the salmon bake dinner theatre.

After the negative reviews we were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. We stayed in building N near the river. There were two rooms a small living room and a bedroom separated by the bath. No air conditioning but not needed the windows let in enough cool air. In fact we used the heating one evening. There is... More

Would never stay in this resort again. Was given wrong type of room in which heater was not working. Couldn't sleep at all because of the cold and the girl at the reception was not interested in hearing the complain.

Hotel was part of Holland America Sea/Land vacation package Location is convenient to Denali National Park. Frequent transportation to and from park. Assigned a handicapped accessible room and wasn't able to change to regular room. Met a few guests who were trying to get handicap accessible rooms and couldn't. Manager was unable to change our room, but did have a... More

After reading other reviews; we were pleasantly surprised. We had been deciding between the Princess and McKinley; both with the same amount of stars, but the Princess was $100 more a night. We booked this on our own after taking the train from Anchorage. A bus picked us up at the train station and brought us to McKinley. Our luggage... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Check in was fast. I got the room in their new lodge area. No Wi-fi in the rooms except in lobby. Lodge of this size Wi-if only in main lobby. Each buildings are quite far from main lobby. Room service was pathetic. On my second day visit, they only thing that was... More

Stayed for 2 nights. For $300+ per night this place is not remotely up to par. The property includes several different buildings. Stayed at the Canyon Lodge, located down a very steep hill from the main lodge. Room: Basic motel style decor, no luggage rack, no fridge, no desk, no safe, no air conditioning, no WiFi. No soundproofing and plenty... More

We were surprised to find this is a hotel conglomeration owned by Holland America cruiselines. We drove our own rental car here to see Denali Natl. Park, but soon realized the majority of people here come in on busses from the cruise ships. The hotel, especially lobby, is always very busy with tour groups assembling. The restaurants were good and... More

The McKinley styles itself as an up-scale resort. It's more a mid-scale, slightly down at the heels resort. If you can afford to visit Denali and choose an upscale resort you want something more. If you are on a shoestring you want something less. As it is this is just a nights sleep for all the cruise day-trippers. The Lodge... More

After riding in a bus all day from Seward we were very exhausted. We arrived at the property and the rep came on the bus and handed out the packets with our room keys. They drove us to the canyons lodge on the property which is a 3 story hotel at the bottom of the hill. No one ever is... More
