We stayed at Camp Denali for our 25th Anniversary and loved it. Yeah it's expensive, but it is a once in a lifetime experience. The food is great, the staff is even better. They truly enjoy their job and are good at it. The naturalists are all very well educated in their field and we learned something on every hike.... more

We recently had the absolute pleasure of spending 4 days at Camp Denali, and it was incredible. From the very start of the trip at the train depot we were greeted warmly by our bus drivers, Fiona and Brian, who also were naturalist guides at the camp. We took an incredible ride into the park viewing scenery that we have... more

Camp Denali is a destination of its own. From the moment you are picked up in their comfortable bus to the second you are left to leave the park by train, car or motor coach, everything is taken care of. The staff is incredible. They are friendly, smart, and full of enthusiasm. Although there is little doubt they have answered... more

Camp Denali was such a great experience- I don't know where to start! I was traveling alone with my 11 year old son. It was a heck of a trip to get there- that's for sure. A seven hour train ride to Denali from Anchorage and then another 7 hour bus ride into the park. But it was worth it.... more

If you want to be surrounded by nature, taught about Denali national park (and all of its wildlife and flora) by the most amazing naturalist staff (Fiona and Esther rule!), be fed gourmet cuisine, and have the best view of Mt. McKinley humanly possible, go to Camp Denali. It takes a looong time to get to Camp Denali (especially from... more

Stayed in the "Hawks Nest" which is homestead cabin run by Camp Denali but is separate from their main complex. The cabin doesn't have electricity or running water, but is delightful step above sleeping in a tent at the Wonder Lake campground. It is nicely appointed with beds, a propane stove, fridge and lights, and heat from a small wood... more

If you're looking for a chance to spend some quality time in Denali National Park, I'd highly recommend Camp Denali. The cabins are rustic only in the sense that they don't have running water. The food was very good & the folks working there were helpful, knowledgable and fun. There was a young child (age 7) there with his parents... more

dTester covers the Camp well. Let me add my 2 cents about Camp Denali. I think it is difficult to find many places in the U.S. that offer this kind of experience. Many of our nat'l parks are awesome but can be tougher to enjoy because of crowds or access. Camp Denali gives you, without question, the best interior access... more

Booked this for his birthday because I knew he would like it, and not only was it just what he was looking for, we both were really awed. The setting of Camp Denali, is so beautiful, and our stay was really fun, and certainly worth every dollar. We were fed three meals a day, and not only was dinner most... more
