We came around 6 pm and were the first ones to chose our tent site. There was enough shade and you get wifi access and pool access. The toilets next to campground are clean, the showers are located next to the pool and are really nice and clean.

everybody knows there is almost nowhere to eat drink or sleep way out here, aka the middle of nowhere. drove in late afternoon, 70 f late April. cute old bunk houses, rockers on the porch, not like England. big steak for two, a good idea, thanks chef. a few cold beers and a good comfy nights sleep. a bit of... Furnace Creek Campground in Death Valley is centrally located in this expansive park. We found the sites to be good sized, with options for locating a tent. The fire rings were new with adjustable grill. The rest rooms were clean with large kitchen sinks and drain boards located nearby. The only lacking amenity showers. However we did find showers available... More

A big site but not a shady one and some of the pitches are a distance from any washrooms etc. there was just one restaurant open and the service was very patchy when we were there. This is a good base to explore from and worth getting up early for the half hour drive to watch the sunrise at Dante'a... More

There are places that you can pitch even a very large tent that are completely surrounded by Salt Cedar trees, so they remain shady and protected from the wind. Some are also very very close to the visitors' center with its better water and better bathrooms (and the VC has free wifi from 10 AM to 3 PM). A short... More

Stayed in the RV parking with full hooks ups. Very old RV and camp but they have kept it up. We stayed two nights and saw most of DV by car. The weather was perfect and the crowds were not too bad for President's Day weekend. It is definitely a different place well worth the trip. There is loads to... More

Furnace Creek Campground is an ideal location for exploring other parts of Death Valley. Even an early morning or evening walk along the Airport Road that runs next to the campground offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and south towards Badwater Basin. The drive-in and walk-in tent sites are the best sites since many offer shade. As others have... More

Furnace Creek was even better than we expected. Very quiet after 10 p.m., clean, convenient restrooms, and close to many sights and services. Campground staff was very friendly.. The stars here are amazing!

Not what I was expecting as far as "camping" goes. We had a tent camp reserved, but unfortunately it was right off the main little road in the campgrounds, accross from the dumpsters, not much privacy, and it was literally just a firepit, metal bench and gravel. Luckily we pitched the tent in some trees for some privacy and put... More
