After several trips to Death Valley over many years we tried Furnace Creek Campground. The Park Service has done a great job of providing full hookup sites that are not crowded together and have great bathrooms available. Restaurants are within walking distance if you want to over pay for less than average food. We showed up w/out reservations and were... More

Basic functional room, decor was tired, shower unappealing the whole room had a general feeling of grubbiness. Food was expensive. Surroundings were interesting & pleasant. Shop was good but expensive.

The campground is in a great place, close to everything you need. The new wash stations for dish washing was very nice. The restrooms were clean and maintained very well. We tent camped in site 107, which was very cozy and was quiet, a short walk to the visitor's center and a date palm grove, great for bird watching early... More

I went to Death Valley on the weekend and absolutely loved every second! I would have liked to spend more time there and am looking forward to an eventual return already. There on a photography workshop with Sea to Summit Workshops, we covered many beautiful and stunning areas that I never see in my rainforested home in the Pacific Northwest.... More

The picture shown is of Death Valley Scotty's Castle, 35 miles North of both the Furnace Creek Inn and Ranch. Be that as it may, I have stayed at the Campgrounds multiple times and have enjoyed each visit, as the staff has been extremely helpful, among other reasons. The rooms are just like their beds, King Size and close to... More

We stayed in a tent-only site (117) for four nights. We found the campground only average for several reasons: 1.) We reserved two months ahead, but site was taken on arrival. Hosts sympathetic but could not resolve; 2.) On last night next site neighbors up until 1:30AM. Hosts didn’t enforce curfew; 3.) Men’s restroom light was out for duration of... More

Perfectly adequate campground although there is some confusion over plot numbering at the moment (they have recently re-numbered), would be clearer if they numbered the fire pits and benches. Washrooms are very basic, no shower or soap available. You can purchase a token to use at the pool at the Ranch (15 minute walk) for $5 and this gives you... More

Taking into consideration that there are not vasts of alternatives for an overnight stay at Death Valley.the Furnace Creek Campground is for sure the best alternative if you would like some facilites. There are toilets, showers, washing facilities, pool, bar, restaurant, shop. Facilities were clean and o.k. At your RV camping spot you can have full hook ups. The spots... More

Perfectly flat, well maintained and you are next to the Visitor Center. You can walk over and get all the info you need. Also, there are plenty of RV, Tent, sites with bathrooms nearby and firepits. The place is quiet too, after 7pm generators are off. If you need any supplies, the Furnace Creek Ranch is less than a mile... More

This was our 5th camping visit to Death Valley (Furnace Creek). We stayed in this campground two weeks which is the limit for this particular campground, however you may stay up to 1 month in one of several other Park campgrounds. This year some of the sites have sewer and water hook-ups. Electricity is currently locked as the Government hasn't... More
