We stayed in #109 at $14/night. Pine trees provide a bed of pine needles for your tents. Half the spaces are reservable and half are walk ons, first come, first serve. Be sure to reserve for most/all of your stay. The "campground" at Stovepipe Wells is a parking lot without trees or any charm at all. The bathrooms are cold... More

I stayed at Furnace Creek Campground, sites #108 and #109, and we were tent camping. If you are looking for a good tent camping spot in Death Valley, I would recommend these sites - actually any tent site between #107 and #110. It felt as though we were the only tents surrounded by RVs in an RV campground, but that... More

On the plus sued, the electricity, wifi and water works. On the negative side, it's poorly maintained and dirty. No picnic tables either. Maybe one day Xantera will be nice to thier employees and the place will get spruced up then.

We overnighted at the Furnace Creek Resort, which has both a large motel and a large campsite and RV park. We stayed in the motel. It's not the cheapest place going around, but then, in Death Valley (which is absolutely brilliant by the way - particularly in October), there's not a lot of competition, only a few other RV parks... There are only 3 campgrounds in Death Valley where you can make advanced reservations, The Ranch at Furnace Creek, the National Parks campground next door and Fiddler's Creek. The rest are 1st come, 1st serve. We ended up staying just one night since we moved our trip around a bit and wanted shorter drives between camping. Fiddler's was just fine.... More

Good camping with large space for your car or RV. It was our second best camping during our stay in Death valley. Owners kept its authenticity with nice space and a lot of green. Only few spaces would have power connection but who cares ! Recommended

Death Valley is fantastic (in the winter) and this campground is a great place to stay. I always pitch a tent back under the trees by the airport road. Chances are if you go mid week you won't need a reservation. Of course every campsite is only as good as your neighbors so choose carefully. Lots of spots for RVs.... More

We enjoyed camping here for 2 nights in October. The pitch (106) was great, with a tree for shade. We camped just in our tent inner and it wasn't too hot. All of the tent sites backing onto the airport road looked good. There are no showers but toilets and good dish washing area. The site is close to the... More

We heeded the advice of a past poster and stayed in Tent Site 106 and were so glad we did. Most of the sites are wide open with no shade, but sites 102-110 have some nice trees to pitch a tent under. In October, the temperatures were milder than summer, but it was still pretty warm (95 degrees) so the... More

The camp site is very good. Sites 106-110 are good with nice shade. We stayed in 107. You are close to the visitor center and facilities. Awesome place especially the stars at night. The only complaint is the noise at night. They have a no generator policy after 7pm and a quiet time after 10pm which is great and 99+... More
