We had a room close to the pool with a patio facing away from the sun so it was cooler than some of the ones facing west. Walls are thin so noisy from both sides but quiet after 11 pm. Easy to walk to the restaurants to eat. Spring fed swimming pool is wonderful.

Amenities Zero. No picnic tables and very little shade. One-half mile (at least) to the showers. No restroom unless you count the Death Valley Visitor Center which is nearby. Best to save the $18 and find a paved layby to stay at. Furnace Creek Resort which is 1/2 mile away (at least) is OK but over booked and over worked... More

Very pleasant resort with nice spring fed swimming pool. Green lawns, palms, tamarisk in the middle of Death Valley. Our room was clean. We had a room at the back of the property away from the pool, so it was very quiet. Staff was very pleasant & helpful. But watch out for the restaurants on the property; this is a... More

We have returned twice over the past 6 years for group camping in Death Valley and really enjoyed the group sites in Furnace Creek Campground. Bathrooms have flush toilets and are well maintained, each site has picnic tables and benches and a fire ring with access to potable water. IMPORTANT NOTES: (1) there is no real shade at these sites,... More

We stayed for two nights in the Furnace creek resort which is, we thin, the best of the choices on offer if you want to stay in the Park and do not want to pay 500 dollars a night! The rooms are clean comfortable and quite functional, they have a coffee machine and a fridge but that is it in... More

We stayed in #109 at $14/night. Pine trees provide a bed of pine needles for your tents. Half the spaces are reservable and half are walk ons, first come, first serve. Be sure to reserve for most/all of your stay. The "campground" at Stovepipe Wells is a parking lot without trees or any charm at all. The bathrooms are cold... More

I stayed at Furnace Creek Campground, sites #108 and #109, and we were tent camping. If you are looking for a good tent camping spot in Death Valley, I would recommend these sites - actually any tent site between #107 and #110. It felt as though we were the only tents surrounded by RVs in an RV campground, but that... More

On the plus sued, the electricity, wifi and water works. On the negative side, it's poorly maintained and dirty. No picnic tables either. Maybe one day Xantera will be nice to thier employees and the place will get spruced up then.

We overnighted at the Furnace Creek Resort, which has both a large motel and a large campsite and RV park. We stayed in the motel. It's not the cheapest place going around, but then, in Death Valley (which is absolutely brilliant by the way - particularly in October), there's not a lot of competition, only a few other RV parks... There are only 3 campgrounds in Death Valley where you can make advanced reservations, The Ranch at Furnace Creek, the National Parks campground next door and Fiddler's Creek. The rest are 1st come, 1st serve. We ended up staying just one night since we moved our trip around a bit and wanted shorter drives between camping. Fiddler's was just fine.... More
