Arrived mid afternoon after driving up from Yosemite NP. Temperature changed from -1c in the morning to 36c upon arrival! The resort is centrally located in Death Valley and it is ideally placed to explore the area. Large resort with a mixture of accomodation blocks and smaller chalets type rooms. Stayed in room 605 on the ground floor overlooking a... More

We stayed at the Ranch during October 2007 for 3 nights and had a great time. We stayed in the 400 block and found it to be comfortable if not luxurious. The fridge was handy and sitting on the small patio to watch the sunrise was fantastic. The Pool was lovely and very welcome after a day touring the desert.... More

This is our 3rd visit in 20 years. We stay in the Ranch, which is the larger, lower cost place. (The Inn is much pricier, and is closed in the hottest summer months). On the plus side, the location is virtually unique. The golf course, pool and other facilities are excellent. (The pool must surely be the hottest outdoor pool... More

Stopped here on our way from Yosemite to Vegas. The Ranch is surrounded by desert and the heat is fantastic. The rooms are clean and have the added bonus of a fridge to keep your drinks cold. We had a superior room which had asmall patio area which lead to a grassy area before the pool. The restaurant was very... More

I had read the tripadvisor reviews before I stayed at the Furnace Creek Ranch, so my expecations were not very high: I expected a motel but I expected it to be updated and maintained. Here is my main complaint about this property: it was not a good value for the money I spent. Other posts have said that one shouldn't... More

This was the worst stay of our 6-week-round-trip! Room 409: - very spotted carpet - outworned bath with molded bathtub - both bedblankets dirty - bed full of crumbs and hairs - can't use shower because of low water pressure I have paid 190 USD for a horror trip. It was the birthday of my husband next day and we... More

The Furnace Creek Ranch is an oasis in the desert. They have various buildings scattered around the resort. They offer a general store and quite a good restaurant, where we had the best ribs on our trip! The most extraordinary thing is the pool, wich gets its water from a natural spring, so that they have no need to cloride.... More

In Death Valley National Park this is a nice place to stay, we had a nice cabin, it was a little small and the shower room much smaller than the other national park cabins, especially seeing the coffee maker is in there too! Although the room was ok it definately worth staying close to the action.

Stayed for one night with my wife and 8 year old son. Room was very basic and could use updating. For a place in the middle of no wear it has a lot to offer. Pool was fantastic. From what I saw likely your best option for a stay in Death Valley.

Can't write too much about this hotel as I was here for one night and arrived late in the night. However, the room was small but clean although the coffee machine was in the shower which was odd. There is about 3 restaurants and the rooms are chalet style huts rather than a hotel 'block'. Would stay here again if... More
