Swinging saloon doors and ‘olde’ western memorabilia could make you feel like a real cowboy at this hotel. Except, a real cowboy wouldn’t pay $39 in the hotel steak house. $39 for an average sized steak that isn’t cooked in the way you’d requested, a few soggy vegetables and half of a handful of fries. No delicious sauce to go... More

Stayed one night here with my wife and two daughters (20 and 16). It was HOT! 51 degrees celcius the day we arrived. The staff were very friendly and provided plenty of advice on how to combat the heat. Accommodation was first class - bedrooms and bathrooms spotless. Two queen size beds in each bedroom. We had dinner in the... More

Like most people, we were travelling through Death Valley from Las Vegas towards the Lakes/Yosemite area. The choice of accommodation in Death Valley is very limited especially during the summer months when the Furnace Creek Inn is closed. The Ranch looked the best option available and we were pleasantly surprised. I do think that the hotel charges a premium rate... More

We stayed in the Ranch resort as it was off season and the Inn was closed. I was very surprised when we arrived, it was above my expectations. The Ranch is nice and clean, well organized and you have a holiday feeling as soon as you step in. We had a deluxe room - cabin with two queen beds and... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the two rooms we had booked at the Furnace Creek Ranch - we hadn't expected such beautifully modern and comfortable rooms! Our whole experience staying at the Ranch was beyond our expectations - from the gorgeous grounds to the well-stocked store and the pleasant eateries. This was truly an oasis! My one very slight negative... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Ranch. The rooms were comfortable furnished with 2 queen beds, armchair, TV and a powerful A/C. The ambiance was very pleasant, so was the swimming pool. We didn't try the buffet restaurant, but the cafe had great food. Overall a very good place to stay in Death Valley - the closest to Badwater.

We drove (for 6.5 hours) from Yosemite to Furnace Creek. It was quite an amazing drive! Furnace Creek is located off the main (and probably unique) road through the Death Valley desert. I picked up a leaflet about the resort in the last town before the desert. Our GPS was taking us completely the wrong way. We wisely decided to... More

We stayed at the Ranch, and it was just fair, with no free breakfast or internet connection and very simple rooms.

The rooms are in blocks at one end of the complex but within easy walking distance of the places to eat. Rooms aren't luxurious but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Our room faced the green and pool area which was pleasant enough - a room facing another block would not be so good. Didn't eat breakfast here. Beers in... More
