20 years since visiting the Ranch, it is still largely the same - but a fun stop off point and a great base to visit the main attractions/sights of Death Valley. Rooms were good value when booked well in advance - $169. I asked for rooms next to one another as we had 3 kids aged 12 and under with... More

The employees were very nice, food was not bad, pool was crowded but very refreshing and rooms were cool and clean. The grounds were very pretty with plenty to do. I would recommend the ranch to friends.

When I stayed here, there are two complex's, one is the ranch and another the 'resort'. The latter is the one that looks like a Spanish villa (in the picture when on the hotel review page). I stayed in the ranch (not the pictured one). The hotel was a very nice experience, the rooms were pleasant, spacious and had modern... More

We recently spent two nights at this hotel. Even though a stay here is very pricey I was not expecting much; after all, there are only two places to stay in Death Valley and there is hardly any competition. Wow, was I wrong. This marvelous old hotel has beautiful grounds with a small lake, streams and waterfalls. The room was... More

This elegant inn is truly an oasis in the desert. Although it shows some signs of age that is part of its charm. The rooms are spacious, attractive, and clean. We were located on the top floor of the northern-most wing, and we shared the balcony with two other rooms. Which was nice as we spent our evenings sharing and... More

It's an oasis in the middle of nowhere, not exactly, the area around furnace creek is pretty busy and you never feel like you are in an oasis in the desert, except for the heat. The room was amazing, big, wide and clean. we had a second floor room and resting on the rocking chair under the stars has been... More

Trip advisor ought to separate out the Furnace Creek Ranch and the Inn into two separate locations. We stayed at the Ranch and the Inn was a further 1 mile up the road. The review is all about the Ranch as we didn't get chance to check out the Inn. This place was great. We both liked the oasis in... More

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon on May 2nd, 2013 . We are both thoroughly pleased with the caliber of staff. From the moment we pulled up, until the time we left, everyone was cordial, polite, respectful, mannerable, and went above and beyond to make our time there a pleasant one. We would both highly recommend the... More

Bathroom was very poor, but clean. It was very expensieve for one night, but wen you want to stay at death valley is this the only option.... More

Given the lack of competition, I was surprised how nice this resort was. They could easily be lazy but they strived to keep everything nice and provided great service. Our room was clean and spacious. If you're running the Death Valley marathon, you can't beat this location at all. There are buses to take you to/from the start/finish and they... More
