We booked our cabin at Furnace Creek Ranch in October for an early February vacation in Death Valley. We were surprised to find cable TV and amazing beds, along with parking right next to our room. The only down-side was the low pressure shower in our private bath. Obviously this is a famously dry environment, so we understand the extreme... More

I stayed four days and loved Death Valley....the resort not so much. Tried to use the pool twice but first time was told the battery wasn't charged and the next day they said they forgot to charge it....not very handicapped friendly. There was a dead cockroach on our bathroom floor the day we arrived and it was still there four... More

Great location for exploring Death Valley. Rooms are comfortable and pool area is great if you like to swim lengths. Take some snacks with you and probably some breakfast cereals - fridge in your room. Very quiet location and no/little light pollution so night skies are awesome.

We stayed here for 3 nights as opposed to the high end furnace creek inn.. The rooms are all duplex cabins with a porch and a parking spot on each side of the cabin. We booked the lowest category room which was small, basic, but clean. Be warned that the bathroom in these rooms are incredibly small. The place was... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Furnace Creek Ranch Resort in a double queen room. It was spacious and clean, but nothing really special. We did like having a patio and the proximity to several restaurants. What was special was the quiet and the stars at night. Even though the temperature drops at dusk, we were able to... More

Stayed in Furnace Creek ranch for 4 nights, overall pleasant stay - only problems in the check-in the room where we noticed room was not cleaned properly (used towels and utensils left in the room!) The ranch was fully booked so they could not give us any other room - however this was quickly addressed by the staff and room... More

For a northeasterner to be in the warmth and beauty of Death Valley in February was heavenly, and the terrain does look at times like you must be on the moon. Biking the back roads in the area and hiking was fabulous. The hotel, sadly, is very overpriced and missing some of the basic amenities (like books in the gift... More

Our first time in Death Valley, so we booked at the ranch as a shot in the dark. The ranch has several two storey motel type buildings, cabins, and a few single story units. This is NOT the INN. The Inn is much pricier, fancier, but just down the road from the ranch. The park does not have a lot... More

Our holiday company booked us in the Inn, however on turning up we were informed that the inn was closed due to a private booking, so we were housed at the Ranch (1/4 mile down the road). We only stayed for a night (a mere stopover) so I have to review in that context. Our room was clean (overlooking the... More

Writing this review is one of the harder ones I've had to do. I want to tear into the Ranch at Furnace Creek pointing out its issues, but in all honesty that would be pointing out my ignorance more than anything. Like other reviews have pointed out you're in Death Valley. So that being said there are some compromises one... More
