Pros:- - Great location on the western side of the park with lovely evening views - Practical 'motel' style facilities - Decent value fixed price cooked breakfast - Friendly young staff Cons:- - Run down rooms - Weird check-in arrangement at the garage rather than the main lodge

Get keys from the gas station (it is reassuring to have a gas station there). Nice hotel and room. Silent. Each room is well isolated from the others. Breakfast (all you can eat for 10 dollars) and meals can be taken at the restaurant next door. Great service there and good food.

Love the place! Beautiful setting in the western hills of the park. See the Milky Way from your front porch! Comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and cheerful staff, full of great conversation. Ben, the proprietor also happens to be an excellent cook. After breakfast, take your coffee mug onto the front porch and enjoy the sun lighting up the distant... More

I have stayed at Panamint Springs Resorts two years in a row. My friends and I use it as a staging or stop over point for long motorcycle adventures in the desert. The resort is off the grid, running on diesel generators, out of cell phone coverage any only one room has a TV. You can get hot food, buy... More

The service is what disgusted me most about this dump. Two ignorant punks were running the counter and you could tell the burden I placed upon them the second I walked through the door. No smiles, lost reservations, terrible rooms, as others have mentioned, and HIGH PRICES (be sure to stock up on ANYTHING you need as it seems they... More

We stayed for one night in mid-October. I had read reviews so knew to expect that it would be old and rustic. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but we always travel with an open mind - and we're very glad we did. Yes, the property IS old and rustic - that is one of... More

In Death Valley there are few places to stay. This hotel is on the Western side of the park. The next closest hotel is Stovepipe about 30 miles east. There are no more choices going West. This must be the reason the owners have let the hotel be run down and become a dump. Travelers have no choice. The walls... More

We stayed at this resort for three nights. We spent two nights in the cabin/cottage that has two air conditioners that are controlled by the the occupants, two separate bedrooms, one with bunk beds and a t.v. with all the good stations. There is no telephone. The cottage/cabin is the way to go, it is slightly behind the regular one... More

Check in was at the neighbouring gas station. The room was decrepit. The window frames were coming loose from the walls, there was broken plaster around the shower fitting. I knew there was no TV, satellite or cell phone reception, but the room lacked basic amenities like a hair dryer, coffee making facilities or even a plug in the wash... More
