My wife and I stayed at Panamint in October 07 with 15 bikes. We were treated like family. My wife wanted to return for her birthday, Feb 14th. Like before we were treated like family. Day before had 80 mph winds and they were ready for business. The Cassell familiiy owns and operates Panamint Springs, the Cassell's have always treated... More

Like all of you I too read the reviews. Luckily I had stayed at the campsite mid last year so I knew what the place was like although I had never seen the insides of the rooms. I stayed in the cottage the first night then the room with 3 beds and the newly remodelled bathroom the second night. Both... More

We too were mislead by the internet description, should have read the reviews! After arriving we decided that the broken curtain, sagging bed and "remodeled bathroom" was more than we could take. We asked to talk to the manager. He was rude and angry and immediately started to attack us verbally. Customer service was NOT in his vocabulary. We couldn't... More

I had not read the reviews before booking our stay. I wish I had. My family and I stayed in the cottage. There is not a kitchen which is what we were hoping for. We worked that out because they have a refrigerator in the cabin. It is small. The interior needed lots of help. The curtain rods were bent... More

Booked by phone after looking on there website. Boy what a mistake we made. Winter it is cold in Death Valley and we had an oil filled heater, bathroom was horrible. Brochure on line said new remodeled but not. Toliet loose and floor wet. Metal shower that was rusted.

O.K., yes, I did read numerous reviews, both pro and con, prior to booking our reservation. And yes, we prefer the rustic, eclectic out of the way accomodations during our travels(i.e. Ruby Marshes, N.E. Nevada or Lower Stanley, Idaho back in the day). And, by golly, the folks at Panamint Springs Resort were down right friendly. But alas, our upcoming... More

We passed through Death Valley on our honeymoon and stayed at the Panamint Springs. When we arrived we wished we hadn't. The rooms were dirty and the air conditioning unit was so noisy and couldn't be turned off. The door to the room wouldn't lock and we slept fully clothed for a fast getaway in the morning. I went to... More

We have stayed at Panamint Springs's RV park and will return again this Xmas. We prefer the water-only area due to the superior views. If the weather is going to be warm or hot, go for full hookups. The park has WiFi , if you are close enough to the bath house. The restaurant's food has been good with somewhat... More

We nearly didn't stay here because of the number of reviews that were negative in some form. They did however appear to be from obsessive customers who like their towels in a row and one of those paper bandages on the lavatory to pretend it's clean. Thank goodness we ignored them. Of all the hotels on our trip this one... More

The folks at this little "resort" in Death Valley are super people. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome, over the phone and in person. Rosemary at the motel and bar was one of the coolest women I've met on my recent month-long trip. Yes, this is a rustic motel, with small rooms and no TV.... More
