I had "tent only non-electric" site 35 in the A-loop. I stayed for 3 nights, but slept in my car instead of my tent, because it was forecast to rain later in the night I arrived(it did), and rain the morning I was to leave(it did), and I would have no place to put my tent up to dry in... More

Trust what you read in the other reviews: the campground is beautiful, quiet, well-maintained (spotless facilities!), and in a great location just a short walk from the ocean. To add a note on the park ranger staff: my wife and I spent two nights at Seawall, and arriving home afterwards we couldn't find her engagement ring. We were afraid it... More

I stayed at this camp ground while visiting the National Park and was generally very impressed. The staff were friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the campsites weren't right on top of one another (always a plus!). It would have been nice to have a shower on site but for the price of $14 a night it really can't be... More

If you are looking for amenities (hookups), this is not the campground for you. If you are looking for a rustic setting, Seawall is a beautiful place. Sites are somewhat private and spacious with lots of trees and shrub between sites. The bathrooms are flush toilets, very clean and looked like they had recently been remodeled. Fresh water and dump... More

We stayed in B20. Smaller site, but well laid out. If you have a large family tent, consider a slightly larger site. Great picnic options down at the beach area. Much less travelled part of the park, which is particularly nice on a major holiday weekend.

This campground was by far one of the most beautiful places I have camped. The hike in lots are incredible and easily accessible. Bathrooms were very clean and the park rangers were funny and full of advice.

Stayed for six nights in Aug. Site D87. A great location on the quieter side of the park. All sites come with pad, picnic table, and fire pit or BBQ grill. Heavily wooded and beautiful. Like all the Seawall sites, the pad is gravel. Bring a heavy weight ground tarp to protect your tent as well as sleeping pads or... More

Site B8 in Seawall Campground may be the quietest, nicest site we've had in 20-plus years of camping. We couldn't see or hear our neighbors at all. In fact, every site in this quiet loop is pretty great. Quite a few of the reviews here talk about the D loop, which has walk-in tent sites, some of which are pretty... More

Seawall Campground is located on the southwest tip of Mt. Desert Island in a section of Acadia NP that is separated from the main park section by the town of Southwest Harbor and Sommes Sound. We chose it for the proximity to the ocean and the distance from the huge crowds at Bar Harbor. It is a fairly basic campground... More

The walk-in campsites are nicely tree'd and a good distance from water/bathrooms (no showers on site). It can be difficult to get a parking spot within a good distance of your site if arriving late, and sites are pretty close together. Our site (#31C) had large gravel so we were happy to have our sleeping pads and blankets to cushion... More
