Spend a week in Loop-A campground site-90. Great place, close to water and clean toilets. Sites are not too close which gives you lot of open space. 24 hrs hot showers just at the entrance of campground. Easy access to major Acadia attractions (Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain, Sandy Beach, Loop Road etc.). 25 minutes to near by fresh water swimming... More

This was out 6th camping trip with out 10 year old daughter. Acadia is amazing and worth the long drive from Massachusetts. This campground is very near to Bar Harbor and Sand Beach so we were able to do hikes and lunch and shopping. Very clean campground with flush toilets and sinks with running water. No showers. It is a... More

This is one of my favorite campsites. It is close to Bar Harbor attractions and of course everything Acadia has to offer. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are located right outside the campgrounds. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for one night in May. Was chilly but not unbearable. There is no gate closing time, which is GREAT. We were able to stay out on the town in bar harbor and not worry about being back at a certain time. The camp sites are fairly close to one another, so I wouldn't recommend staying for an extended... My husband and I camped here for a week while we explored and hiked Acadia National Park. We loved the location and the friendliness the staff. Showers are just outside of the campground and you have to pay but we never had to wait in a line and they were fairly clean. It's also a short drive to Bar Harbor.... More

Myself and a large group of friends visited Acadia July 4th through the 7th and stayed at blackwoods campground. I could not think of much better camping accommodations in the area. The location is perfect for anyone that plans to spend a lot of time in the heart of Acadia or Bar Harbor. Located about 5 minutes from the beginning... More

The staff were helpful and friendly. Sites were close together but separated but woods so there was some privacy. The sites are gravel so bring extra padding or mattresses. Bathrooms are clean but there are NO showers on the park. There are pay showers right outside the park entrance, bring quarters it's $2 for 4 minutes (10 gallons) of hot... More

We LOVED our stay in Acadia. Our campsite (A12) was perfect. It is right across from the path leading down to the ocean, so we would eat breakfast down there every morning! The campground was active, but also very peaceful and was quiet at night. There are flush toilets and running water. There are also hot showers ($2 for 4... More

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-June. We're not normally tenters, but wanted to stay somewhere inexpensively, and for $20/night, it can't be beat! The site was large and shaded by trees. The bathrooms were clean. Hot showers were just outside the entrance:$2 for 2 minutes, $4 for 4minutes, and so on. The campground was fairly... More

We camped at Acadia for three nights in June and stayed one night in Blackwoods and two nights in Seawall. We enjoyed both sites. Blackwoods seemed to have more mature trees, which we liked. But you seemed closer to your neighbors. We used the 24 hour coin operated showers near the campground - bring your quarters!
