What can make a place can be the hosts. Ilaria and Stefano are such a lovely people and welcome you into their home. There is a respect for the history of the property and this is maintained as well as creature comforts to make your stay all the more pleasant. We had been to the big cities and the idea... More

My fiancé and I stayed at La Luna di Quarazzana for four nights of an 18 day road trip through Tuscany and without a doubt this was the highlight of the trip for us. In the shadow of giant marble mountains, a 15 minute drive from the town of Fivizzano, sits a tiny old stone village, long deserted by it's... More

from the very moment we arrived we felt at peace and could immediately relax and enjoy the place and the nature around us. We had a beautiful room, and lying in the bed we could see the mountains through the window. That made the start in the day extraordinary:) We ony stayed one night, but obviously one should stay longer,... More

I have been at Illaria´s house very recently with my two best girlfriends during our visit to tuscany! We had no car, so to be honest for one night stay was not the best choice as we couldn´t move much around, and it was a long way from Florence to the nearest train station , and expensive from the train... I stayed at Illaria's house in the hills near Fivizzano for four memorable days where peace and tranquillity reign supreme. Illaria and Stephano are genuinely hospitable- nothing is too much trouble- and they create a very special atmosphere which stays with you even after you've waved goodbye. Illaria is a brilliant cook and will teach you how to make foccacia... More

We enjoyed our stay at LaLuna, especially as it was a return to our family's actual home before they immigrated to America. Ilaria is especially welcoming and an excellent chef. The courtyard is charming. We will return in the not too distant future.

I am so happy I found Ilaria and La una di Quarazzana and had the chance to visit this amazing place! We were group of ten people and we all enjoyed our stay that much that I cannot even express. First of all, while still searching for a place to stay, Ilaria was so fast responsive and kind that she... More

Tranquil relaxed place with a homely atmosphere. If you enjoy great Italian food then eat in every night, Ilaria and her husband will feed you well with amazing home cooking. Say hello to Benny the cat and enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard

We spent 3 days with 2 kids at Ilaria's semi restored house. I say semi restored as her property is a work in progress built on a dream and much love in a deserted hamlet away from the Tuscan hordes. We had the family room that consisted of 2 separate rooms and my only gripe was that the blinds let... More

I am not used to reviewing things but Ilaria made such an impression I felt I had to! I randomly found La Luna di Quarazzana on the internet, I looked at reviews, which all seemed to be fantastic and immediately booked. It is located in a relatively remote tiny village in the appenines about 2 hours south of Parma, I... More
